Annoying Seatbelt

Just as I've come to love and accept my squeaky seatbelt it has decided to get lazy and can't be bothered to retract.

Any ideas on how I can fix it? If so keep instructions simple so that I can give it a go!!

Mine squeeks as well, as does the passenger window when opening ^_^

Spoke to Loony Toon and he had similar problems with his .

If you undo the cover on the seat belt where it retract you can oil the mechanism, this should cure both problems at once

my seatbelt squeaks too as does my drivers door window

We had squeaky seatbelts too. What you have to do is remove the cover where the seatbelt retracks, there are 3 plastic peices going across, you need to get a sharp knife and trim away the largest bit of plastic. This is what the seatbelt rubs against to make the sqeak. We got instruction from scoobynet.

Big thanks to VickyK for relieving my ears of the sqeaking belts! Had to change one today as it was frayed, quickly checked the forum, found the answer here. Followed the simple instructions and now can buckle up in relative silence!
