pec0 Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 My car is booked in this week to get prodrive springs fitted. My car is a MY05 WRX which has a different suspension layout to the previous blobeyes. When you look at the online subaru website there is no listing for wrx springs for the MY05. I thought my car would be the same as the MY06 model but the dealer quoted me £195 (MY03-MY04) not £225 (MY06-07) - I am not complaining but I am worried that they might fit the wrong spec of springs - I queried this with the dealer but they reasurred me I was wrong. I read on scoobynet that MY05 springs are the same as MY03-04 but with the addition of bumpstops and cost £225! I am confused can someone shed light on this??? Cheers!
colzo Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I may be wrong but I thought it was only the STI chassis that changed in 05. I know the Prodrive Springs for the 03-04 STI have a different part no. from the 05 STI. The STI springs costing the £225 price that you mention. Double check with another dealer to be 100% sure mate.
Smiler AS Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I could be wrong but in the two Hawkeyes ive had, Prodrive springs for WRX are Blue Prodrive springs for STI are Red, Im not too sure if this applies to the "Blobeyes" though? Put the red STI ones in a WRX they work, but tend to "rattle" on bumps bit at the top due to the finishing point being different (if that makes any sense).
