How Much Do You Think My Car Is Worth?

Hello there, bit of a hard post but I am wondering how much my car is worth?

The car is a 2005 Sti Type UK in Crystal Grey

28000 miles FSSH for main services and serviced every 5 K in between at a local specialist

Mods to the car

Meercat custom turbo back system

GT spec 2 headers and up pipe

APS CAI

Perrin intake elbow

Braided brake hoses

Deffi BF Gauges (turbo, oil press and temp)

Prodrive springs

Scott Low flaps

Andy Forrest Ecutec remap (Using 10% Methanol) to 1.55Bar of boost (can get mapped back to normal V Power)

running 370Bhp and 364 lbs-ft of torque

Spare set of STi wheels would be included in the sale

The car has a 5p size dent on both of the rear doors

At the moment I am looking into getting some stone chips and scrapes removed so paintwork should be in top condition before selling

Reason for sale, well to be realistic I need to get my own place.

At the moment I am just testing the water to see what its worth

Graeme your best bet is to sell all the parts and put back to standard then flog it, rough guide price is £14k for 05, if yours is a 55 then a little bit more. Selling a car with all the mods on is just not worth it.

Just wish I knew you were going to sell as I have basically just bought the exact same mods going on my car. If you do decide to strip it back to standard I'd take the Defis off you

Good luck

I was told initially that mine's was worth £11,500! It was then pushed up a little becasue of my mods to £14,500 a loss of £7,500 in just 18 months. Needless to say, I decided not to trade in and am keeping the car.

All the best with it mate, be a shame to see you let your car go though.

I hate these type of adverts as you dont want to tell someone that you think there car is worth less than they think(prob90% of the time).

Although i do agree that its better putting it back to standard-ish, then selling parts seperate, and i also think its harder to sell a specialist car like a STi in Scotland,All IMO.

Not going to embaress myself with a quote.

Good luck if you decide to seel mate.

I hate the fact that whenever I'm looking for a new motor there are never any models around that I fancy, or there are so few that I end up pay top money for something. Then when I have something and am not thinking of changing there are heaps of decent motors around like yours.

I'd say that it will be worth less than you think, and agree that the best option (to make the most for yourself) would be to remove a lot of the mods from your car and sell them seperately as you will make more money from it that way. A lot of people don't want to buy a modded car which can narrow down your potential market (despite the fact that they'll then spend more again to put it back to the way you have it now no doubt )

Hope you manage to get a decent amount for it all though.

well as a standard non pppd car its book price is about 12,000 im afraid. ive got one and was thinking of selling it and a very nice man on here showed me the book price for it yesterday. id ask for about 16,500 with the mods and be prepared to come down. or like me bite the bullet and keep it!

well thats it decided,

once the 30K serviceis done, chips away to clear up the scrapes on the bumper and proshine have worked their wonders valleting the car it will be put up for sale as is for 16.5K (forgot to say above that it is also fitted with a Bosch uprated fuel pump)

Anyone who is interested PM me,

for your information the car has 14K of HP left on it and this this will be cleared with funds raised from the sale.

£478 going into a house fund every month just makes more scense to me just now.

new car is already on the way, Im in talks with a boy about a 1988 BMW 635 csi Highline, bit of a change and I will need to break out the P imp outfit for when im driving it...lol

Graeme be careful not to price yourself out of the market, you may find £16.5k is a bit rich with those mods. I did a quick scan on autotrader and there's a 56 STi with 5k miles for £16.5k. I would have a look around to see what similar model are selling for.

At the same time though, his isn't std, so someone looking for that kind of car would be more likely to buy his with that power already than a car a few months younger with less miles, esp when a 56/06 will be into the higher road tax bracket.
