uRaBu5 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Pulled out behind a Mercedes ML350 today and saw a number plate that seemed out of place. SO06ARU Don’t know if its private or they were just lucky, but it would look fantastic on any Scoob. Derek
marky.t.s Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 thats a good one derek,i see the new MOT laws about reg plates was sneaked in this month,no more dodgy spacings like Mr.Welsh,or wee scooby-doo charactars,or fancy fonts......instant MOT failure now!!!.....well except for cars built before 2001....

And you need to have who made the plate with post code and the BSAU number in the right hand corner of the plate. All to stop fraud according to VOSA.
uRaBu5 Posted October 26, 2007 Author Posted October 26, 2007 I’m so glad I haven’t altered the spacing or characters on mine!! Loved the pics you sent and Mark was delighted with the R8 which may have altered since you last saw it. Derek

I thought the MOT laws where already prohibitive of this sort of thing. Oh well I have devised a set of special routines to help: <MOT Due> Get new plates Remove existing plates Attach new plates Pass MOT Remove new plates Re-attach old plates </MOT Due>

No doubt with an on-the-spot fine. Plus points! I'd be very careful. I just had to get a new front plate and the shop were quite willing to make it up to any size I asked. I'm sticking with the law though, as I don't want to be stopped unnecessarily. Let them stop me for going side-ways with all 4 wheels in the air - fair enough - but not for the sake of a number plate. I'm drivelling now! Steve.

Well, if it gets t to the stage that its going to cost points, then screw that. I'm sure the cops wouldn't be that harsh and would at least give you a chance with a HORT1. No? It;s going to get to the point that points will be given for farting. Edited October 26, 2007 by TheWelsho
