RA Dunk Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Why would i want to sell my STi? maybe cause your scared of it and cant drive it for a start? So it's ok for the sidc to go out for some spirited runs but when it's someone else they get called names? that, i have no comment for as your 110% correct
scoobyiain Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 maybe cause your scared of it and cant drive it for a start? I'm not scared of it, i'm scared of breaking something. I barely get by as it is so cannot afford to replace anything if something goes wrong. I can drive it fine, might not drive it like everyone else on here but i can drive.
cullenmin Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I think this thread is growing arms and legs, all through the night there has been guests watching...lets just leave it at that!
the squiggle Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Someone on the run has said this Any cutting in was due to people speeding up so you couldn't get back in so in my eyes who's doing the dangerous driving. People overtaking on a straight piece of road or people speeding up so you can't get back in? This scenario sounds very familer TVR drivers speeding up to close the gap you were safely aiming for then getting the humph and posting on thier forum that we were driving like nutters and we made one of them spill tea on thier slippers after our noisy exhausts made thier hearing aids go all funny. Although we did have a Green Wagon on that run that would have been in a group of his own that day, his group would have been called "I feel like dieing today". The Green Wagon never came on another run after he was severly told off for crossing the line between fun and one way ticket to the front page of the Daily Record Were the people complaining on Pistonheads killed, injured or maimed on this last run? Any cars ran off the road and exploded in a fireball that XL-5 would have been proud of? Did anyone in a Subaru open fire on innocent civilians as they passed through Aboyne? Well no harm done and no one hurt so whats the problem. Personally i think these kind of people are just jealous of our marvelous cars and when we do things they deem to be a bit lairy but in actual fact are really safe manouvers. They get all shirty and start ranting that we are the scum of the earth and should be neutered at birth when reallty deep inside they are wishing they had owned an Impreza and could join in the fun. Instead of being stuck in their mid life crisis mobile rueing the night the condom broke Peace to all concerned and good night
scientific steve Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 the november photoshoot at glenshee, a cracking day out it was too yep i was at that one in fact, due to my job also having my airse going away for about 99% of the year that was the last one i was able to go to how many years ago was that now?? and i drove from aberdeen to the starting point/meet in perth and at this moment in time i'm stuck on a metal bucket in denmark, other wise i would of been on that run too getting slated for enjoying myself AS MOST EITHER HAVE DONE AND WILL DO
scoobyiain Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Well no harm done and no one hurt so whats the problem. Being called a "knob" because it was not an sidc run
thefastone Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I think it might be worth everyone to go back and read the original pistonheads forum thread again...
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Good man Dale.............for the record when I posted I had no idea who it was and assumed it was that young guy ( now infamous ) who has been going nuts around Abz. My comment was not derogatory or offensive. I had been offline for days ( partaking in the Hampden party & had Monday off in Glasgow) and did not even know about this photoshoot meet and how many cars were in this convoy so had genuinely no clue who it was. ( My Abz Scoobies password is gubbed and I have not signed in for yonks) CGS
kloon Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) I think this needs to be put to bed now. What's done is done, seems there is blame on both sides and dragging it out any more can surely only do more harm than good to all parties concerned. Edited October 16, 2007 by kloon
craig mac Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Guys and Gals Whats done is done, Whoever the guilty parties are know who they are.... At the end of the day we are all guilty of a little spirited driving from time to time (some of us cant for the moment!!) It is not the first and certainly wont be the last that this happens.... However the use of Knobs in the original post is a bit strong.....Just look at your own driving the next time you plant the power peddle......... Armed with a d**** s**** to keep *******************
kloon Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) Think that's the whole problem Craig, the fact the thread was entitled "More KNOBS terrorising the public", maybe if the original poster had thought about it before diving in feet first . . . Anyways, no more on the subject from me, as i've already said, this should now be allowed to fade away. Edited October 16, 2007 by kloon
johns Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I think that enough's been said on this topic and it's doing no-one any favours and will only cause people to start falling out with each other. John
