wedmonds1 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I am considering going to Xtreme scoobies to get a new clutch as mine has been slipping in 5th and i an noticing it more and more. Can anyone recommend a better place? and what else is worth considering getting done at the same time? Thanks all!

Thanks all! May need a "new" flywheel if your's is a long way gone. They always replace the flywheel but if you's isn't too bad they can send it away for skimming and put a recon one in yours, otherwise you're paying for a "new" one. I'd go in sooner rather than later, may save yourself a few £££'s

Thanks all! Get i lightened flywheel, it improves the engine response although you do lose a bit of engine braking
dazzlers82 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 bring it up to api wayne an get the flywheel an clutch done as yours has been slipping for a while i should think your flywheel is knackered mate give dave a call an see if he can give you a good price

alan_newton Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 had mine replaced 2 weeks ago for 250pounds, I supplied the clutch. most companies wanted between 400-600 to just change clutch.
