I'm awaiting the results of project forrester with baited breath.

As your 555 was so sweet what would you recomend for mine, I don't really want to change the looks that much but want a bit more from the brakes and suspension and also under the bonnet, but don't want to ruin reliablity in the process.

Simple but very effective on the suspension front would be a full whiteline set-up. front n rear ARB (anti roll bars), front and rear drop links, Steering rack bushes, antilift kit and flatout springs. Cost wise you are looking at £600 fitted but it is probably THE best £600 I've ever spent. Add a pair of strut braces to tthat and your rockin ;)

In relation to brakes go for the later classic 4 pot set-up and Pagid pads with standard discs would be my recommendation for reasonable cost upgrade. you could go 6 pots etc...but your getting into really serious candy there.

Tuning I'd go full decat, Apexi induction kit. Walbro255 or Facet Motorsport fuel pump and Scott Taylor "chip" mapped for the mods listed. You could go Full apexi ECU but thats OK if you want to spend £800+ for your model.

Hope this helps?

I think Mr Tradesman's car is a Version 3 and thus cannot be ScoobyECUed or chipped by any means. Options are limited to replacement ECU like PowerFC/GEMS/Autronic etc or a Piggyback unit like the Apexi S-AFC or dastek Unichip

PowerFC can be obtained for about 650 fitted and mapped or 480 if fitted and mapped by me........kidding

Version 3 is rather aggresively mapped from the factory so i would hold off on the Decat until a few monitoring devices are btained and fitted. First would be a Knocklink to make sure all is well inside the engine and second would be an AFR device to make sure she is not running lean. After you fit these and the results are favourable then i would go for a decat. Even after fitting decat i would keep an eye on the monitoring equipment to make sure she is running within acceptable tolerances after the Cat has been removed.

cheers guys for the advice, the engine mods are not going to be done for a while yet i'm gonna sort thebrakes and suspension out first.

Oops! didnt realise you had version 3. As squirrel says re underbonnet. Regarding the Suspension tho I'd deffo recommend the Whiteline Stuff

Who do you recommend I go to for the under bonnet stuff?
