You get problems with any car. My mother had a new BMW a couple of years back. It went wrong on average once a month and had to get towed three times. Ok, so everything was getting done under warranty but after 18 months they were so fed up they just got shot of it. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

You can be unlucky with any car and I am not overly concerned.

If it breaks, modify it, and make it even better than before - No, get thoughts out of head - hide credit card!

The flip side is........................have a look at the number of scoobs for sale with 100K+ miles on the clock. A fair few around.

Regular servicing and don't cane it constantly................... should go a long way toward keeping a healthy motor.

Cheers.

Lets be honest guys, if u kick the t!ts out of any car, something will have to give way and it sure wont be your right foot. Like all of u, i love feeling the power of a my scooby but i know deep down if i do it all the time then its gonna go.

This is coming from a guy who has owned 3 beemers and loved them.

Look after your car, your car will look after u, FACT!!

Yeah, but the guy in that thread says his mates MY06 went pop and that he doesn't cane it. Buying a 22 grand car then splasihing out another 5k has to be based on a bit more that "just your luck". If it was jus down to luck, Id sooner buy a 2 grand runner and spend the other 25k on something else.
