new tyres

expensive day today....................................2pm in the afternoon,was walking up to the scoob from behind. noticed that the rear tyres looked smooth,thought it was the light but on closer inspection relised they were totaly smooth on 1/3 of the inside edge,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,gutted.....................made a call to my usual tyre garage,there shut saturday aftrnoons and sundays......i need to use the car and didnt want to risk getting stopped, as the fine etc would be more than the tyres cost plus points etc,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i had no option but to drive to the nearest kwick fit centre,,,,,,,where i got 2x pirelli p600 £110 each........

could have got them cheaper, but i couldnt wait until monday,  i needed them straight away..................and as they never had any other decent tyres in stock, i went for the best that they had,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,never mind it's only money[:'(]

i know protyre in bristol charge just over £100 for a full set up ,but if they only change one or two angles then thats all you pay for , got that from a member of sw-pc who has had his done and recomends them , not sure about others tho powerstation do it but bit of a trek ,

Its worth knowing that Protyre only charge for the angles they change
mate. I don't think i've ever had every angle changed on every wheel
even with the whole suspension changed.


Thats another reason why i recommend them. They will show you the
angles on the screen and ask you what you want changing. In short they
wont rip you off like some people do by charging for a "Full alignment
set-up" when in reality they may only change one or two angles!

Too late babes I have seen what you have written at the start of the thread (you are in big trouble now)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry I am getting my own back.  It is a lovely sunny day and I have put Kev in the bathroom to finish the painting that he started the morning whilst I sit back and relax with a glass of wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
