blueboy88 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 left for work as usual this morning giving it a rev to wake gus up[6] down on to the main street and bang a speeding cat runs out in front of me ripping my revelution front splitter to peices [:@]totally gutted as its only a month old .So does anybody know of a stronger front splitter that can be fitted or is it just a case of leave it off []. joe and good luck to the guy from edinburgh who bought my wagon on wednesday night i even tryed to convert him to the sidc
blueboy88 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 It ran away so i guess it's just lost life no 2 it could have been worse luckly i was only doing 20 as it was just after traffic lights .
STi_Bandit Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 i managed to completly snap my splitter in half hitting a kerb, got some rensin repair from halfrauds and applied that and then a good few hours wet and dry sandpapering it down and then a complete respray, and you couldnt tell the difference. Splitter needs to come off again as the entry intoi neofox's flat is slightly emmm ramped and well i didnt notice until i heard crunch Doh
blueboy88 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 i'll give the resin a go as i dont want to pay another £150 for a splitter if it can be fixed for a lot less (i'll speak nice to my younger brother as his m8 is a spray painter )
micra_wrc Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 hope you woke Guspants up; glad the cat is ok; leave the splitter off as i think the grief you get in terms of scuffing/damaging/repairing the thing outweighs the joy you get in terms of the appearance of the car.
gus the bus Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 hope you woke Guspants up; Nah, he doesnt get up until half way thru the working day[] Mind you I keep thinkin its thunder everytime i'm in and he starts the bloody thing up[] Had a wee look at the damage and its gonna take a wee (big) bit of magic tae fix it[:S] Worth a try tho
