Can anyone help

I have a WRX PPP sportswagon 18'' PD wheels

when i hit a bump or go fast round a right hand corner the near side back tyre is cut by the wheel arch

The garage where i got car told me that Subaru told them that 18'' wheels should not be fitted to a sportswagon

Anyone know if this is right

Thanks for any help

The car is back at Perth, we have had so much trouble with it that we are asking for money back.

The tyres were fitted by them befor we paid for the car.

Your problem wouldn't lie witht he wheels, but more with the tyres fitted to them. When upping wheel sizes you reduce the size of the tyre wall, so the overall diameter should in reality remain the same. Obviously there is other issues to contend with, but you could fit 19"s or 20"s if you relaly wanted and keep thing rubber band tyres on them. If you were mad that is.

Sounds like there's either a suspension of tyre size issue going on there.
