Hi Chris,

2.5 race all steel short motor - £4000 + VAT

Head Studs - £160 + VAT

SX Regulator - £185 + VAT

Injectors - £440 + VAT

Power FC ECU - £550 + VAT

Mapping - £350 + VAT

Port cylinder heads - £450 + VAT

Stoptech 355mm Front Brake Kit - £1400 + VAT

Fluids, gaskets, belts, filters etc - £500 + VAT (approx)

Labour - £1200 - £1500 + VAT

This will give a reliable 460 – 480 Bhp (the spec of the car I took you out in was 465bhp

You don't need studs necessarily for that power target.

I'd try and find a 2ndhand PowerFC. They don't wear IYSWIM. Or buy from E-bay, depends on year of car.

Could probably get injectors cheaper, depends on what year of car.

I'd use the Skyline adjustbale regulator than SX, it's cheaper, smaller and does the job well. Think it was £135

If the heads are £450 the pair, that's good value.

Get yourself onto scoobynet and have a look in the group buy section. There is one on for axis shortblocks. You can get a built one for a lot lett than £4k. Not sure the same garage would be happy fitting it for you though. While your buying from Axis you could get studs, gaskets etc too as they are roughly half price over there.
