Motorsport and trackday photography

I am toying with the idea of getting back into motorsport and trackday photography. What I would like to do is try and gauge what sort of interest there is from people and to see how many people buy prints (framed/unframed) before I make a decision as to whether to buy any new equipment.

I hope im not breaking any SIDC rules or treading on peoples toes but as I say im only trying to see what interest there is, if any.

I gave up the photography as I found I didnt have time for it - now im going to be going to lots of shows im gonna miss it.

Camera was sold recently - but thinking about a new one.

there is a market for these pictures especially if you could get them signed as well - maybe enquire with companies etc about becoming official photographer for certain events etc

Not joking here but you could always use ebay as a starting block - ebay store of your own  - also check out the competition - approach combe for media pass so you can get better access

Contact magazines and see if they require any freelance photographers especially the new scooby mag to cover events and especially as you will be attending the events!

I used to do freelance work for Fast road and Track magazine but I do not believe that mag is still going - Would love to be able to cover stuff for the Scooby mag, which I will look into.

hello mate your pretty dam good at this,

so

i have finished the exterior of my sccob now and have always wanted a professional photoshoot done of it , so could you pm me prices of a shoot and prints please, also is it just cars you do cos wen baba arrives i want a family shoot done???

I would be happy to do the shoot of your car and im sure we can work something out - will have a chat Saturday at the rolling road.

I don't normally do portraits etc as I concentrate more on motorsport and extreme sport but I will still do some family stuff for you f.o.c if you like.
