scoobasteve747 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Hi folks, I have a champagne silver MY99 UK facelift turbo and when I bought it back in Mar 07, it was totally standard and 'tango' galore. I have since wiped the orange smile off its face with some crystal fittings and also put on some new shoes from Lenso (17" KR5's with TOYO's) but now i'm looking at going down the Carbon Fibre route. I have just put on an STI 6 CF Wing and it looks good so far.........I think. I am now looking to get the mirrors and bonnet done aswell. I am just looking for some thoughts from all walks of life up here in gods country. Cheers
david_taylor Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 There was one member (STRIPE - Not posted for a while) who had a white face lift and put the CF spoiler and bonnet scoop on. He eventually put the originals back on. Personally I am not a fan. Think it looks a bit boy racer like.
oobster Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Snap - also not a fan. Can't see the point of having most of the body panels in whatever colour then having some panels that look black from a distance. If your doing it for weight saving then fair enough but if it's for cosmetic purposes then my opinion is all panels the same colour.
cullenmin Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Have you any pics of your car with the CF spolier? Ive got the same colour car as you and just wondered what it looks like! Rich
colzo Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I prefer standard or as near standard as possible. I like the Prodrive parts when it comes to cosmetic changes but thats just me. There is a Yellow Sport I see around with a Carbon Fibre turbo bonnet and IMO it looks bad.
