You know I wouldn't care about them striking if they did a decent job.... In fact I would be behind them...

But they don't.

They are striking because they are greedy Barstewards... Just like the firemen...

I firmly believe that public services should not strike, they have no right to IMHO....  [:@]

Will never use them again.  Last three parcels have been a disaster.  First they left one in the neighbours garden and it was stolen, and the last two they put through the neighbours window thinking it was my house!

Stick to the Royal Mail for me!

Well Ive had similar disasters with Royal mail... and when things dont get delivered, they go to a center thats a pain to get to unless you have a car, and I'm not always about, and it takes 48hours! to get there? WTF? and its only open at really odd hours, just in the mornings mainly I think...

Personally I dont think much of the Post office/royal mail... but then thats what happens when you try to run a public service like a business (NHS is another example)

Fair enough, but the royal mail would never leave anything lying about in a garden or put it through a open window twice.  The main point I made when complaining was that if there was an electrical fire under that window they could have set fire to the place.

I am sure no mail service has 100% accuracy with there service but Parcelforce have had 3 parcels to deliver to me and fecked them all up.  I have never had a poor experience from the Royal Mail.

no, but they did leave some valuable books downstairs in the communal hallway, the main door not being secure, instead of posting it though my letter box, (and they did fit, I checked...) this happened twice in a row...

I'm lucky that I came in when I did, as my neighbors at the time were dodgy as Fluk....
theres 3 in this building that I trust, the other 2 are scumbags...

Tell you what.  Let Parcelforce take over your everyday mail and then see what your opinion is after a few months.  You would be begging for the Royal Mail to do the business again.

They are entitled to a decent payrise.  These guys work crazy anti social hours is all weather conditions and I think the offer on the table is shocking!  Unfortunately the big wigs are more interested in profit margins as apposed to the rise their staff deserve.  The offer the now to a standard postie amounts to less than 50 pound a month.

Top be honest mate, I don't think that one is any better than the other... royal mail or parcel-farce...

I'm not a particular fan of strike action, especially after the firemen did their little trick the other year... I know i'm very hard line on this, and not having a dig at anyone on here and I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but if your not happy with your job, then leave, get a better one...

Don't take it out on the rest of us... who have nothing to do with the dispute, You'll get no sympathy from me like...

I hope you see where I'm coming from, I'm not just being argumentative for the sake of it...

No offence taken mate.

As for the fire service probably agree.  My mate is a fireman and only striked as he felt he had to.  It was the old school that wanted it.  They dont want to lose the second jobs they all have as they only do a 4 day week, and the proposals were taking that away.  As the other emergency services say, the fire brigade are the spoilt brats of the emergency services.

Saying that they do a sterling job and with modernisation, resolve all the problems for the future hopefully.

Yeah, I totally agree with you there, they risked the lives of millions of people around the country, and as i was in the forces at the time, I actually lost money from their strike action, as well as having been messed about...

Right enough though, Its a horrible situation to be in, do you really want to put yourself in the position to cross that picket line? I certainly hope that that will never be the case, as it is Ive not joined the union, and I'm in 2 minds as to whether I should... not many from my bit of the industry in there as it is like, so yeah...
