Adam Kindness Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Some pics and vids from the evening.... hosting on pics changed to my own site pics taken by Ross at www.quantum-capture.co.uk , see the rest here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/quantumcaptur...57600447098197/ Vids http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_1.avi - InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Nova, Integra, Elise, Noble, Impreza, 911, kit car. The impreza seems to love racing on straights. Was behind him a few times, but he was running quicker on the straights but much slower on the corners LOL (kenny off here yeah? What were your lines all about at the end of 2nd vid The car seems pretty nippy on the straights though, if i was running upto 1.2 bar i would have been giving you more fun LOL ) and http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_2.avi InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Cossie Saph, Rage Buggies x3, Mustang, Lambo Murcielago, Impreza, 911, ki car. Car was handlign well with its new front discs, but developed a horrible blue smoke from the exhaust... i hope its a turbo, not the engine. Dougie C Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Great photos Adam and Fee!!! Noticed the silver wagon on track with the SIDC sticker also. Looked like a great night over at knockhill better weather than we have had today in Penicuik. Mist and dampness. Will check out the video's tomorrow. Dougie C
scoobaroo Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Some nice pics and vids.[Y] Looked like a good night with some interesting cars there to play with [H] Marty.
Adam Kindness Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 Aye, it was a pity we didnt get to do the whole session.
kenny4130 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Ha Ha! yes it was me in the silver Wagon. Just got it back from AF the day before. It was great on the straights but absolute rubbish in the corners. Too much body roll and the standard brakes got hot very quickly. I thought I was holding everybody else up in the twisty stuff and was trying to find some way of letting them past, hence the occasional dodgy line [:$]. At one point some Lotus 7's came up my backside in the twisty stuff and I booted it to the nearest suitable straight to let them past, but when I got to the straight they were too far behind! Don't worry though, hopefully next time I'll have invested in some strut braces, 10-pot Tarox's (found someone selling a good set) and some new lowered shocks (hopefully Tein) and nice 18" alloys with new rubber, so the yellow Bruce Taxi's Evo can stick his "Scooby Blitzer" sticker up his tailpipe! [] My car is apparently sitting at @337bhp/309lb at 1.5bar. Power-Good, Handling-Crap = more spending!! I'd modded it purely for Crail, and it showed! It lived up to it's 'Silver Bullet' name though - Fast in a straight line, can't do corners []
_jac_ Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Cool vid [Y] Looks like you all had fun. The skyline looks better and better every time i see it.
Adam Kindness Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 10pots :/ That not a bit overkill? The skyline is still running std size 300'odd mm discs and 4 pot calipers. Better fluid, Braided lines, MS brace, DBA 4000 discs and Ferrodo DS 3000 pads. Seems alright for the current power.
kenny4130 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I'm getting the 10pots at a ridiculously good price (about the same as a set of s/h Brembos). Now if they don't make a difference I don't know what will!
z1000 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Skyline looks awesome real mean [H] Trying to get my mate to bring his 335d coupe to one of these as its chipped and bloody quick []
