Thetford training area and waste nuclear fuel??

Don't if anyone watched the news, but it seems that the above has been identified as a possible location for nuc waste[:S] How much of an effect will that have on the forest and surrounding areas??

Don't forget there was a nuclear bomb site there till the 80s anyway, so will probably make little difference.
