  2. Hi Craig, welcome along. Have a look at the link below to the CADS calendar for 2008. Our next meet is the 27th April just outside Northwich at The Riverside. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=110357 Cheers Andy
  3. They were probably looking behind them at you wondering if you were "that tit" from the scoobynet thread in Sheffield a few months back.
  4. Yep. You're not wrong Ed. Up the Gooners tomorrow. (Sorry Kev) !!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Try here too mate: http://www.muddydetail.co.uk/
  6. Wicked mate, enjoy. I'm not jealous......much. Glad the rear seatbelt holder comes off too!!
  7. First time I'd seen one too and really good to compare with the WRX. Enjoy it Thursday.
  8. Had my test drive last Saturday and here's a write up I have done: So, here goes. Arrived at the dealership at about 10:15 this morning. "Help yourself to coffee Sir", and all that. The first thing I set my eyes on was the new o8 STi in WRBlue, but with silver wheels. Let me just get the bad (ish) bits out of the way. (this is all my opinion of course). It was a good chance to study the car in great detail. I'm not the biggest fan of the rear light clusters at all: Also I'm not liking the huge wing mirrors, and have for some reason, never liked indicators in mirrors on any cars When sat in the drivers seat, the view out of the mirrors is quality, but they just seem too big. This is a nifty idea but looks ridiculous to me. This pic is of a WRX but is the same in the STi. It's the seatbelt holder for the rear middle seat Now the above are only minor issues, and again, are all in my opinion. The seats are "comfy", but don't hug you like they have in previous models, and I prefer the blue/alacantra seats Looks wise, the flared arches really make the car look lovely in the flesh Just look at the difference between the STi and the WRX Just going on the WRX, heated front window things under the wipers look horrid. (if that's what they are) Back to the STi and it's looks.... Although it looks like it could do with 18s as standard, not the 17s which seem "too small" for me. The next few shots are just shots of the exterior and interior to show the difference between this model and older models.... The intercooler seems to fill the engine bay, and looks a bigger cooler than in the past too. I'm also a big fan of the exhaust system, apart from it being far too quiet!! I asked if there were any spoiler options available and was told "not sure", which puzzled me a bit. Overall looks wise, I can't quite believe the WRX looks so basic. The STi isn't much more expensive really, so I would imagine most people opting for the STi. It really does look so much better when you are up close to it. The flared arches, even the front end does look quite agressive. The bonnet scoop seems refined in the pictures, but get behind the wheel and it looks awesome. Now for the drive itself. Compared to my 11 year old classic RA it's a "palace" to sit in!!!! The driving position is excellent, and the handbrake is so close to you. It's quick. There is almost no, if any at all turbo lag. The power is instant. The suspension/grip is amazing. It was wet aswell, but the confidence oozes out of you. There is so much trust in the car. It's also too quiet for me, but hit a certain rev range and there is a nice raspy WRC sound to it. Great for those of you who don't like to annoy your neighbours, not so good for those of us who love the burble. But, TBH, that all changes when you are driving it. Driving the car seems to give you more excitement than the burble when you get going!! One major difference I found, compared to my 02 WRX and my two classics, right through to sitting in a Blobeye STi, the new 08 STi feels lighter. It feels "nimble", if I'm aloud to use that word. When I say nimble, I mean that in a good sense. Nimble in the sense that it's so responsive, taking it through some of the lanes around St. Asaph was fantastic. General consensus overall? I personally would buy one Tomorrow if I had the money. Before today I was really unsure, but that has now changed. This is all without the PPP too. Are the rumours true that this simple upgrade will take the new 08 STi up to or just past 400 BHP? Don't know. Ok so we are not big fans of the hatchback look, but this car will win in the WRC (with the right driver ) I'm sure. I got a little free gift too....
  9. 20 k will get you a fine example too mate. Scoob all the way for me.
  10. Yes you had a female passenger mate and a grey type beanie hat on I think. I touch goats too mate. Andy
  11. Saw a few, one turning into the new estate opposite the Tivoli, a blue new age looking and sounding A white classic went past me on Church road, lady driver And a silver classic by the Boars Head in Ewloe, very nice. All about half three-ish I didn't flash or wave as I was in a Hyundai Matrix and would have looked a right clot.
