Yeah, I musta been lookin at the newer shape;

I'm as far south in Essex as you can go, about an hour from you.

Only trouble is I seem to be exeriencing the same issues selling my current car... Being a group 17 plus all the mods, the insurance is also a bit of a killer. I'm still very much in two minds about the whole idea - mainly because of the insurance. For an ex-banned driver like myself and at the age of 24, the insurance on my car is bad enough - the scooby being a couple of groups higher will be a real killer and though I could get a cheaper model and spend the rest on insurance, I'm still gonna have the same problem in a year's time when it comes to renewal. Reckon I need to think long and hard about this... All I was really trying to do was get a good idea what model I was going for.

Trouble is, insurance is gonna be a killer whatever I buy.. I'm 24 with a recent ban. But I've accepted that. Budget I would say is anything up to around 10/11k, including mods of which would only be a set of wheels. I must admit I'm more a fan of the older shape, but don't want anything too old so perhaps a WRX/UK Turbo of the most recent year before the facelift. There's so much to consider, especially if it's gonna be just as old & uncomfortable as my MR2 - there's no point!

I wish I'd done this before buying the MR2... I never would have bought a Rev 2. Anyway, basically I know nothing about Imprezas (except that I like them, and want one) so I'm after the benefit of experience. I have no idea what models are available, but having owned a 2.0 litre turbo-charged car for the past two years, I wouldn't really want to go for anything less powerful. All I know is I've heard many a scooby rumble past with that incredibly unique exhaust note, which somehow sounds like two engines firing at slightly separate moments, and I know I want that noise. So in your opinions, what do I need to buy?
