I have had a few websites with forums. We always found that the chat site is great if you have alot of people on all the time but it does impact the amount of posts people make. The great thing about the forum is that you can post and walk away. Check back 5 minutes later and you may have the answer. Check 30 minutes later and you might have 15 answers. The chat function is great for people who are able to find the time to use it but it will impact the amount of posts and will only really be used by people that have the time. I find that i never turn Microsoft Messenger on because I get loads of people trying to contact me on it and I am only wizzing on to check e-mails etc and then off. If you use Microsoft Messenger the chances are you will have time to use a chat function. I dont think I could find the time and would prefer to post and check back. The other bonus about the forum is that anything you post can be referenced by other members months and months after you originally asked a question or for advice. So I suppose the chat function would also dent the amount of knowledge and input that members give. My 2p worth

Agreed.... This got stopped. Well they asked people to stop going. They explained that it was not the actual car clubs/owners that were the problem but more the idiots on mopeds and divs in old bangers turning up to tear the place up. Well it looks like it’s my turn in line for some bad luck. As I was pulling out of work last night, turning right some guy came up the wrong side of the road and clipped me. I am fine but the car has take some damage. Good news is that I have about 3 witnesses and a camera at my work showing him driving around an island in the centre of the road and up the wrong way past a queue of traffic. He is popping down today to check the damage and discuss so it’s looking like he may be honourable and resolve the issue. Fingers crossed all goes well. Lesson: If you are in a queue of traffic and are thinking of hacking up the outside. Don’t!.
