About Scooby Drew

  2. Don't worry - I think I have been given the answer on SOX forum Cheers Drew
  3. Nearly purchased a silver E55 AMG last week from main merc dealer in Stratford upon Avon - They have / had a 1999 T with 33,500 miles FSH and I got them down to £13250 but ended up with the scooby instead Bills was my major worry and also that the 210 chassis was apparently prone to rusting due to the type of paint used on the car (don't know about the C43's) - if you go down that route with the C43 do a search for some of the merc forums - they are very helpful and will give you an straight answer to any questions you may have Good luck with it if you go ahead, nice bit of kit and they say that the C43/E55 AMG's where the last of the properly built Mercs Drew
  4. I've had my car 24 hours - driving to work for the first time this morning (only a 10 min drive) saw 2 classics on the way and both of them waved, I was chuffed to bits - will keep waving back
  5. PPP???? Is it something you can tell the difference over the std STI (and before you say it's faster!!!!! hahaha) Just wondered as I was going through my paperwork for my car tonight - previous owner kept a fantastic record and low and behold I come across an invoice for PPP at £1995.00. As I haven't driven the std 261 bhp STI and presuming I actually have 300 bhp in mine is there signs I can look for to confirm it's done or is it the case of it just being there and take it as gospel???? thanks Drew
  6. Well, Drove down from Derby with the car this afternoon is all that rain Took the M1, M69, A46, M40, A34 to get back Smiles all the way!!! Made it to the Reading meet but couldn't stay long enough to chat with anyone (Missus is 4 1/2 pregnant and she felt abit crap so went home) Unfortunately didn't really get a chance to talk much to people but anyone that sees this from the reading meet, I did make it - KFC took preference over Mac D's where everyone seemed to piled into. Might try and meet again some time All the best Smiley Scooby Drew
  7. Hi Guys and Girls Well, tomorrow is the big day but tonight is dragging................. 2.5 hour train journey from Reading to Derby to pick the car up from Beechdale. By the time I'm done and dusted I should be on me way back leaving from Derby around 2.30pm. back down M1, not sure if then M69, M40, A34 or M1, A43 Silverstone, bit of M40 then A34 So if you see a big chap in his silver 2003 WRX STI UK with a massive grin on his face give him a wave!!! it might be me:-) If everything goes okay might meet some of you at the Reading meet tomorrow night as well Drew

  10. Hi there Got recommended to come to this site from an ex-scooby owner Have just purchased my first scooby today - pick it up a week tuesday It's a 2003 (not bug eye, MK3) WRX STI UK in silver with Prodrive Exhaust and I have upgraded gold alloys to the 18" WR1 Wheels (Anthracite??) What a car to drive - just truely amazing - itching at the bit to get it now. Notice alot of meets and activities in and around Berkshire. I thought they had banned the meets at Reading?????
