Yep, that's made it look much better when there are moving objects on! I'll compile the final cut with de-interlace. Cheers Blue, I wondered what that button did []
-
Thanks guys! I enjoyed doing it, even though it all went a bit funky for a while there. I just noticed that part 6 has missing sound as well. shame because there's two good tunes on that one. I think one of the tracks somehow wound up muted before i exported it, so I'll fix that now before I go play squash. Thanks Bob for sending the email around. I'll also compile a complete version and then see if I can make a public version with no plate info. I'll do these in a slower pace though I think... What a week! []

Follow the same link as before, but replace the last bit with this: CADS-190306hi2.wmv the only difference is the number 2 at the end. uploading part3. should be quicker as Bluebotle has set me up with FTP connection - thx bro.

Damn, I wish my connection was faster. This part2 is taking for ages. It doesnt tell me how long off either [] Here are some statistics whilst we wait... Entire video contains over 63,000 frames of video (it kept on crashing at frame 51,284! every time!) It takes a total of 2hours and 31 mins to output the big video file to disk due to all the effects that I have applied in the Intro and all the other fun bits. So every time it failed at 51 thousand frames, I wasted 2 hours of my life grrr. I'll know for next time eh! All parts, all together takes up a total of 7.68gb of hard disk space in raw AVI format. This is why I have to compress it to stand a chance of letting you guys watch it over the net. All 6 vids make a total running time of 2,756 seconds (approx. 45mins) The light effect as seen in the video costs $99 to buy! hah! what a rip off. It's good but not that good! Luckily, I found a free alternative! And part 2 STILL hasnt finished................!!!!

Bob, can you please send to all? ta.

I should mention that it is in 6 parts, so its not too bad. Personally, If I were you guys, I'd like to just download the big momma in one go. On the other hand, there is an increased risk of me uploading it and it failing mid way through and none of it will be up there for you to download. The more I think of it, I think I'll upload the 6 parts separately. I just want to get it out so you guys can see it asap. Doing it in parts is probably the quickest way. Once its done, I might upload the one big file after, like the previous CADS vids. Ok... I'll upload part 1 in about 15mins. It's only about a minute in length so you can have a look as soon as I have done it!! Just to wet your appetite [] Shouldn't take long to upload too... -

Thanks for the support guys. Much appreciated. I do bring good news though. I have found the source of the problem! Near the end of the video, I used a 'burn screen' effect that made the screen set on fire (not literally - just the effect!). When the video compiler hit this effect, it caused Premiere to crash [8o|] I have just removed this effect and worked around it by using a combination of other effects. You'lll probably guess where it was supposed to be when you see the video. Anyway! without much ado, the video is compiling happy as larry now and should be uploaded tonight!! Now then... As this vid is over 30mins long, we have two options... 1) upload the lot in one big humongous file right now! 2) I already have 'scenes' (a bit like on a DVD) - shall I upload each scene so you have little bits of video's to download? Vote option 1 or 2 please -

Yea, I am aiming to make a blanked out public version but to go through each clip, each car would take quite some time. Plus, I think you members deserve a 'clean' version with no blurrs all over the place. Once I get the initial members version out, I'll work on the censored version at a slower pace. I've been up till 2am twice now getting this video done! Feeling the burn... [|-)] -

Yea when I got home from work, the compile had failed again, this time at 93% complete! grrr[:@] I think it is the Microsoft encoder, so I am trying a native Adobe Encoder now. I don't pretend to understand why it is failing but all I can do is keep trying different settings. It's the first time I have done this so it's all new to me. I'll get it working, no worries. -

Sure I can, but they are public servers where anyone can view. number plates etc. I know most people blank number plates on photos so I reckoned that you guys wouldn't appreciate me showing number plates to the world. (?) If it were on a private server, then only a few people would know about it - like members. -
It failed the compile overnight, so I kicked it off going before leaving for work. It *hopefully* should be compiled by now, so all I need to do is compress it and upload it. Bob, I'll give you the link as soon as to hand out to people.

I'd say it's about 70% done now. Just got the ending to do and do a final run through to make sure I haven't done anything stupid. Like spelling mistakes on the titles or something!! I'll leave it compiling overnight because this one is going to take hours, then hopefully should be online tomorrow. This vid is going to be at least 30mins so the download will be pretty big. -

Nope. not tonight. This Adobe stuff is pretty hectic software. It's much slower to do but believe me - the result will be better. Plus, this vid is much longer than previous ones. I took almost an hour of footage, so I have to traul through every millisecond of it and chop out the bad bits. Trouble is, there weren't many! The stage I am at now is I have gone through all the footage, created a montage of all the good bits and I have almost done the intro which is the most complex bit as you are all aware I almost got stuck for music to put to it but I've found something now that suits my usual dramatic style... I've been looking foward to 'seeing' it myself! haha -

Yea, those two bits have to be highlights of the event Oh and the buggy came out VERY well on film. I was dissapointed with myself on the last flyby we set up. I must have been pretty damn cold because the camera was all over the shop. [:$] -

Yup, those guys at Google have mapped the lunar landings on the moon... If you zoom right in, you can see a very pin-sharp picture of the moon surface. very impressive []

Sorry, thought it might have hyperlinked it for me [:$]
