About Spark666

  1. << << I would be going to and from work which is mostly 30/40 mph so would not get the chance to take it above 3k revs >> might sound a strange question, but why buy a Scoob if you arent going to go above 3000 rpm?? Unless it is for a weekend blast?? >> Certianly would be mate Sounds good. I like the 30 odd mpg if cruising on a motorway
  2. << << For £20 of Fuel i am looking at around 120 miles, thats not thrashing it anywhere >> I get around 150 miles on £35 worth of Optimax >> Is that with sensible driving or mixed? I would be going to and from work which is mostly 30/40 mph so would not get the chance to take it above 3k revs
  3. I certianly know that lol I am currently driving a 2.0 Focus and the book figures say 28 combined mpg but with the current engine mods its more like 23/24 For £20 of Fuel i am looking at around 120 miles, thats not thrashing it anywhere Would i be looking at something similar in the STi if i dont take it over 3k revs
  4. TBH I still like the idea of a STi with either PPP or Triple 3. Although i admire the different models I want something as new as possible. I think the only other model i would get would be the JDM STi which is really nice although an import. Does the PPP or triple 3 make much difference in MPG?
  5. Will the type RA holds its value more?
  6. Nice well i have decided that if i can pick up a sti for £15 with under 20k on the clock i will be very happy
  7. Well i got took out in it yesterday and man was it fast lol. Certianly faster than the standard STi i took on a test drive earlier that day. I know that I would need a car that has either ppp or triple 3 as to not be left behind but it didnt feel as solidly built as the newer models. << Its the weight that makes the difference P1 is 276bhp and 1280kgs = 215bhp/ton newage UK STi is 265bhp and 1470kgs = 180bhp/ton newage uk sti ppp is 300bhp and 1470kgs = 204bhp/ton wr1 is 315bhp and 1470kgs = 215bhp/ton The newage car are stronger and that where the weight has gone to. Mine with a remap is about 250bhp/ton (315bhp and 1240kgs) >>Does yours have ppp or triple 3 or is it just a standard STi?
  8. Well i have a budget of approx 16K Ideally i would like to get one of the current STi models as i really like the shape of them. I have driven a bugeyed STi ppp and tomorrow i am going to try a blob eyed STi without any enhancements. I know its not going to be as quick as the bug eye one i drove but realistically i cant seem to see a STi with ppp and low mileage for 16k from a dealer. So I have thought about getting a standard sti with low mileage for about 14/15 and then slapping 333 converstion as i live in Keyworth where TSL is (even thought the drive home for me would be rubbish as its 30mph lol) Today my mate text me and said he had brought a P1 and i was looking to see how a blob eyed 333 would compare as I dont want to spend all that money on one and it get pi$$ed all over Any advice would be great Cheers
  9. Yea standard for standard. Unfair to start taking modifications into account imo
  10. Yea thats what i am trying to work out. Apart from the highly priced WR1 what other car could touch the P1?
  11. How would the sti compare to the P1? Would there be any difference between the two or would it be a close run thing? Would the 333 pack make much difference? A friend has just brought one and he thinks hes the dogs lol (well he aint that wrong really) but I was thinking what other scooby would give him a fright? What about the WRX300? would this be able to keep up?
  12. Probably stick to a uk model then. Want as little hassle as possible if something did go wrong
  13. Yea I am not keen on the new shape so i will be watching the used car market even closer. When does the new shape come out?
  14. What with being on the market for one of these thats a damn good price. Only downside to it is for people who are selling there cars means they might not get back what they wanted for it!
