  2. ok so here is my first go at one with impreza no. 4 its a 92 wrx, needs a few bits and bobs done to it as its been off the road for a while, and has a couple bits missing, but it does have ohlins suspension, h & s exhaust, quicksift, k&n to start with so some money saved already here she is getting picked up from previous owner (ex tayside member barry ferryscoob on here, big thankyou to him) kev the recovery driver and his wagon home in the driveway so first thins first...with the help of rs grant and a hammer then a wee polish after taking 3 nights to remove the stickers...they were on the car for 5 years so plans are, get her running first but already half way thre, just need some parts front mount kit so i can put on the sport bonnet i have remove as much as i can from the car, ac/cl/seats carpets etc then just track it really, till something breaks then rebuild it out the way, if anyone has cheap 2nd hand parts they want rid of/need drop me a pm best of all so far the car is costing me a total of 70 quid 50 for the recovery and 20 for sparky so big respect to ferryscoob for the car kev for the recovery and joe the sparky for his help ta Gordon
  3. from dundee here too, althou not had a flat 4 for a year......untill tonight
  4. picking the donor car up today at some point, so will see what its like when i get it home
  5. i really want something like a an atom/cateram but i really want to keep it awd, so that rules out the atom for the rear engine. other option is just rip it apart and track it till it dies
  6. what options are out there apart from the stupidly expensive murtaya thing, picking up an impreza this weekend and wondering if i should just make a track toy, or build something different?
  7. used him a few times, always a great job there, much better than the mobile boy that used to go about
  8. could be year of import maybe? seen a few cars with much newer plates than the cars are, and its all been imports
  9. i like the colour erm thats about it, why oh why did anyone think that kit would look nice
  10. dont recognise the plate either, will keep an eye out for it now
  11. i like it, its more unusual to see a scoob without one. looks much cleaner
  12. what did it fail on? was it lambda, CO or hc? or all 3
  13. can they do bike exhausts? i want to keep the standard cans but change the front pipes
  14. yeah i got my 53plate sti painted for stone chips after it got too bad for chips away, front bumper wings and blended into front doors, also got the sills done, scoob paint is so soft. oh and get the guy to write a recipt saying its just to clen up stone chips incase anyone who is buying the car is wondering
  15. really depends who is doing the job, seen a few different people doing the same style service (i work in motor trade) and i know what you mean, the chis away guy in dundee (NOT the mobile one) does a top job. dunno much about painting but if your getting bumpers and the done think it would be best to blend in to the sides rather than having seperate panels done thou. guy in kirrie i use is first class, pay good money for it thou but you would never know its not original
  16. wouldnt put me off as i know how bad scoob paint it, tbh as long as its a good job most people wont notice, try chips away i used the guy in dundee a few times on diff cars and always great results
  17. agree with kev, car is looking really good, wheels and coilovers making it look pretty mean
  18. gutted for you, such a cool car, cant even begin to think how bad watching that must have been
  19. i have done it for the past 12 years day in day out, the evo still needs a wee bit more work, but thats me being picky. the scoob was a mess, have a before pic but ashamed of the way the wife keeps it day to day
  20. yeah its a nice car, but i still prefer the scoob noise.
  21. detailed both today and was happy with the results so done a wee photoshoot wtf
  22. yup it was from snap on, it was limited edition of 300 the model cars, 1 was from germany at the model shop by the ring, and one was given to me as a pressie, the transformer is my fave, althou never had it out the box as i may revert back to being 5 years old and make the noise when i make it into the bot
  23. i know it makes a world of difference when the tools are up to the job, most people i know buy cheap tools and wonder how the end up rounding off bolts and breaking things
  24. ..... toolbox lol sad i know but my old box was getting too small for all my car/bike tools, and i drooled over this when i seen it
  25. is it not 3 restarts to clear the light? but it stays in the ecu so they will still be able to read the code
