About jhrfc

  1. I used the forester pocket, the autoleads adaptor and the instructions here: http://www.chiark.com/scooby/icetoc.asp?se...=5&subsection=9 It really is quite easy.
  2. You mean to fit a single din stereo in the double din hole? Subaru make a pocket to fill the gap, I;ve got one. I'd suggest searching the ICE forum on scoobynet, that'w where I got the part number. Enjoy your new car.
  3. What about the type 25? also being revealed at the autosport show apparently.
  4. Don't want to sound like a nag, but with a high performance car like a Scoob, you really shouldn't wait for an MOT fialure to replace your tyres. Personally I'd do it at 3mm of tread at the latest. PS I'll be replacing my original Brigestone potenza swith Goodyear F1s on a couple of months.
  5. thread on scooby net http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=288049 3 per dealership only Ice blue 18" Pewter wheels Mesh front grills Different centre console special edition car keys 320bhp with full prodrive package including ppp & springs 4 doors.... Priced at £29,995 Can be seen at Birmingham NEC this THURSDAY.
  6. I've hit the rev limiter a couple of times by accident. Once I was just staring open mouthed at a turbocharged MX5 fishtailing all over the road while trying to pull away from me! I don't see any point in turning it off, I thought it was there to stop the fins of the turbo from going bang if they go supersonic?
  7. Welcome to the club! I've had my PPP for a month now (two weeks for delivery, don't know why you had to wait so long). I think it's a bit unfair to complain it's too loud. I think the posts I read on here where right, the exhuast IS louder, but not anything like as loud as most other aftermarket exhuasts. IMO at least it now sounds like, looks like and drives like a sports car. Just enjoy it, it's really not that anti-social.
  8. PPP fitted yesterday. I know it's been said many times but WOW it really does turn it into a different car. The torque is unbelievable, no need to drop down a gear most of the time, just press the throttle and the car squats and goes. The noise is great as well, haven't had the stereo on yet! Prodrive gear knob makes feel like driving a new car, as well as giving an extra 5bhp! Like many others have said, get it if you possibly can.
  9. Yes, I'm only able to get PPP because L&V won't charge me any extra. They where also nearly half the price I was quoted to renew with churchill even without PPP!
  10. Thanks for the replies. The nice people at Liverpool Victoria aren't even going to charge me any more for my insurance!
  11. MY03 WRX for 4 months and, I can't stop driving it, over 9000 miles! PPP going on at 10000, can't wait.
  12. Got a small rise at work and have got the other half to agree to me getting PPP on my 03WRX!! Not that it afftects my decision, but how does this affect re-sale values, i guess its a trade off between the enhacment and trhe extra insurance costs? Also how big is the difference in the sound the car makes. Can't wait, done nearly 10000 miles and want to be shocked by the car again!
  13. This thread is making me very impatient! I'm up for a rise at work, and have cleared it with the other half to get PPP if it comes off. As far as the noise goes I'm looking forward to getting my own back on the neighbour who's got a TVR! Just switched to Liverpool & vitoria for my insrurance so PPP won't cost me extra there either.
