It was the initial welcome as i drove in, people just at me as if to say what the f**k, and then i was told by john hardy to park on the sidc stand but when i arrived there i was ignored so i drove back to the ayshire stand. And just incase you were wondering i do own an impreza but i didn't take it on the RBMR cause the brakes were in bits and it would have cost me a second morgage to do the whole event in it, and i didn't take it yesterday cause i was asked specificlly to bring the van and not the scooby. Thanx guys i knew there were some real nice people on here.

After being invited to the NBO by callum willky and john hardy for my efforts on the richard burns memorial relay, i decided to travel the 450 miles to scotch corner and was greeted by the ayrshire crew and a very excited and thankfull john hardy. After just 5 mins i was told that callum wouldn't make it after work commitments which is tottally understandable but the rest of this story is what upset me the most. woke up on a sunny sunday morning to a blanket of scoobs @ the hotel, left for the venue and arrived to a very poor welcome wasn't expecting anything but i don't think i deserved the looks and comments off some of the people there. Ok it is a corsa van but i was invited as an honoured guest but if i had known the reception i was about to recieve then i would have stayed home in south wales. and then for everyone on the SIDC stand to ignore me that was the final straw and i left the event and went to the leisure park and then left. After seeing everyone on the RBMR i thought members of SIDC were very nice people but now after this the small minority i think my doing anything involving SIDC are a no no sorry. Callum this is not a go at you at all, i still thank you for the invitation and your keeping in contact with me. I am sure if you had attended you would have been most welcoming. but why should it take you being there for people to even give me a smile not a snear comment. Thank you all the Ayshire crew for talking to me and not for being so nasty.

Yeah there is such a thing as two wheel drive but its front tho and 1.6 and not a flat four but inline 4 my naighbour has one to go to church every sunday. Really damn slow Too.

I would love to come to the event and thank you all for the invite. The stickers are staying now as without them its just another van Plus the event ment so much to me, that taking them off would upset me. I would love it if those who attended RBMR1 could send me there pics they took, so i could make a lil stand to go allong side the van with all the two days events on. like a collage. Ive got a few to start it off i just need a few more NO allot more. When i say post i me mean Royal Mail as i aint that good on PC's 6x4s tho. I know this might sound stupid but wat does NBO stand for as with all the other letter abriviations. not that good with forum speech. Anyone got a list of them and there meaning???

Bleeding long 10 Hours and no co driver i think im going insane. [:$][:S]

Just got home after a really special FOUR days and 2200 Miles. Left friday @2pm after work got to lands end @ 8 with half a tank to spare. met the 118 boys who where staying @ lands end hotel. Slept in the back of the van that night in some random street in lands end. met the guys the next morning @ 4 @ lands end and left on a very special jurney that will never ever leave my memory. That morning was quite a task as everyone desided to brake the land speed record but the 1.7 DTI kept up. some shape. I really enjoyed the reaction on peoples faces when they saw the van and the frendllyness that you guys had towards me. Prodrive was just awsome as was the last village we stopped @ in scotland when everyone in the village came out of the shops too see us. Finally got to John O Groats @ around 4:30 and the feeling was just awsome. Then i left for inverness with the isle of man boys who offered me there spare bed in the hotel. I couldnt refuse as the air bed in the van was almost fully deflated. Later that night the AIR boys (RAF) turned up and we all got a lil peeeessed talking to mafwani the barmaid in the hotel, who was also welsh so it was like a sceen from lil britain when i went to get my round in. Another bacardi and coke please mafwaniii. Diolch yn fawr. i know none of this makes any sence but you can imagine how tired i am right now. First class ticket to bed please. Yeah im the corsa van thats taking part. I know its a scooby event but i couldnt get sponsership for the petrol, i would have taken my scooby instead. I think ive made it up for it raised, £650.00 and still rising.

HI lads my first reply on here. Recived my stickers and polos last week just ordered my stickers for the van ready for the whole event. Been raising money in work Metalbox Neath and raised £500 got a couple more throught the DVLA swansea but not sure how much yet. Would like to take this time to say a BIG thank you too callum and bob for this great event. Cant wait. Be nice to meet everyone. Dylan jones ie. burnsie
