QUOTE BY STILL GRINNING: Hear, hear. I read the Kent Scoobies domain posts after this one and realised what had happened. Oh well, as the wagon squadron might say "onwards and upwards". END
Mention of the word "wagon squadron" in this thread meant that it popped up at the monitor in the Squadron Listening Post, and was immediately deciphered!
SECURITY RELEASE 20 JAN 09::::::REFERENCE FOR THE KENT SCOOBIES MEMBER KNOWN AS "GRANBY".
Needless to say, Ian "Stealthy" Mitchell is considered in Squadron circles to be a fine upstanding member, and would be highly recommended to Kent Scoobies, being capable in all capacities.

All work and no play..........................oh well, it will be nice to meet some of you (any of you) that we don't already know.
The idea of a big joint meet in the future sounds a great idea - happy to help Mr Granby Sir!!
-
Next weekend Folks!!
-
Hi Folks. The Sussex meet on SAT 29th March 1pm will be coming to a location nearer you - the Queens Head at Icklesham, near Winchelsea. www.queenshead.com
We would be pleased to welcome any Kent members who live nearby (and further away of course!)

We REALLY must do something in the new year, old chap! Apologies for being off-topic.
-
Good luck to both of you Pele and Ian.
Ian - we should develop an RO's handshake or something! Fancy a joint event sometime (before Time Attack)
-
Have a great weekend - you have the weather for it!
Regards from the Tactical Mayhem Team and all Squadron ground staff - especially Ken "The Pouch" Cobalt.
-
Event now cancelled due to lack of interest.

Hi Folks - this is on your calendar. I wonder if any of you are intending to join SussexScoobies at this re-incanation of an old SIDC event from long ago?
-
Yes of course it does - DOH!
Sussex Scoobies are going to Prodrive on 4th July, so it didn't register.
The offer is open anyway.....

July 15th (SUN) sees us at the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway www.emsr.co.uk a good excuse to play trains and go woo woo! or peep peep! without fear of ridicule. Took my grandkids there the other week and had a blast. So if you have kids/grandkids and want to play trains this is the perfect opportunity!
Scoobs will have a separate display area away from public parking, and there is discount for groups of ten
As with the Bentley Wildfowl meet (29 July), we warmly invite Kent Scoobies to join in the fun.

So, Ian, do you look good in the uniform then? You gonna post a piccie? I will (one of me) if you will !!!!
-
Hi Markie
Thanks - good to meet up with you again - sorry it was such a long walk!!
For those of you interested in finding out what the 555 Wagon Squadron is all about, Granby has some "info packs" for you. If that doesn't put you off, then we can seriously consider your futures "in the service"!!!

Hope you had a good time, considering the icy wind !! We did check the seafront car parks nearer town but they were full, so I don't think you would have got closer with the proviso of all parking together. Hope the walk didn't dampen spirits too much, and that you found a decent chippie!
Keith

Looking forward to meeting you soon!
Those being vetted for Wagon Squadron membership today, hope you are not too nervous. The rituals are fairly painless, and your sight will return after a few minutes!
-
Hi Markie. I know where you mean. We will get there for around noon. If we are having a problem I will phone Ian. See you tomoz.
Keith
-
OK - so where we gonna meet then Ian? I have your flight suit packed and ready!!!
Sounds like some mobile communications on the way? I reckon you will get to Hastings around noon?
I could come via bexhill and see how busy it is.

You have put so much love into that wagon - how would you really feel six months down the road if you had sold it?
What about the pleasure you have had from it over the years? You are probably a bit biased towards the negative at the moment.
What about all that precision parking training you have received from the Squadron Leader? You need to remain operational in order to maintain such highly-honed skills!!
Good luck with whatever you decide, Ian !!
