Tryin to get ma 205 to knockhill on sunday for speedsunday. Got the trailer for it but nothing to tow it with anyone got any suggestions? can anyone help? One option i have is to be towed up by a mate via a tow rope is this legal? cars lights all work and everything just it isn`t MOT1d at the moment. Anyone know the law for towing? Thanks greig

Hi guys got the 205 track hillclimb car, lookin to take it out on knockhill on the 29th at the speed sunday event. Only prob i got is no towbar on the scoob. Car has its own trailer just need something to tow it with. Anyone know where i can hire a van or car or something with a tow bar? Or is anyone headin to the speed sunday event that could maybe tow me? id pay fuel of course and give pax laps. Cheers Greig

Hi guys lookin for some advice for fitting harness bolts and which ones to buy. Its for my 205 Track Hillclimb/Sprint prepared car. 4 Point harness fitted. Is it best to drill a hole thro the floor plan just big enough to fit the harness eye bolt thro, then on the underside of the car lock the eye bolt in place using a locking nyloc nut with a stainless stell plate for the anchor? or should it be a plate on top and bottom? Anyone got anyexperience that could come help me? Willing to pay like. Thanks Thanks for any help Greig

yea thats what i thought once i have my licence sent away for ill and have the blue book ill get the guys at the work shop to make me a lil aluminium one or something. Going to join the Monklands Car Club only one thing tho on the membership form it asks for Members signitures dunno how ill get roound that going to go to one of the next meets and introduce myself. Is the Monklands track good? looks good and they seem to have a good few nights inc autosolo`s and fun nights also knockhill track nights. Cheers John greig

Nope there will be no putting me off. Ill be joining and tryin to compete in as many races as my shift work allows. Not really bothered if i come last every time least thats consistant lol. Just want to do it for the experience and to have fun and abeable to say i played at bein a race driver once when im old. Fiesta John which car club are you a member of? Might give you a shout bout preparing the car for hill climbs as in where to get the timing plate thing. Cheers Greig

Not really Top Marques are lookin for a higher standard of driving and a clean car as long as your not driving a shed or like an idiot they don`t seem to have a problem. Grieg

If you were looking for a rolling shell with everything on it except the engine gearbox and brakes i know of a fully rebuilt one that is the best i have seen and is as new, was going to buy it if this one had fallen thro. Not exactaly a scoob but might keep up with a few. With a 0-60 of 5.1 secs timed at Santa pod. What you guys think? And am i allowed on at Sidc track days with it? Started off with this mint rust free shell. During the build Completed car pretty much. Some of the interior and digi dash with shift lights, 0-60 and quarter mile timers. How it will arrive on the 21st july woohoo canni wait like. spares come that day too in the guys Warrior. All opinons welcome. Grieg

Hi guys not been about for a while am sure you have all missed me.(yea right) Anyhoo been hitting the over time and have bought another car for trackdays also looking to hillclimb it and do Sprints. What do you guys think think i should mot the car and drive it there or tow it with the scoob as im getting the car trailer with it? Car is a 205 GTi6 engine running around the 185bhp mark is fully straipped with a cage 2 Corbeu revolution seats and harnesses. Sapx adjustables all roound, rebuilt 1.6 gti gearbox and Quaiff LSD, Brand new Comp B4 4 pots with new bells rotors and pads, Cars fully repainted in white inside too as it has been reshelled with a tottaly rust free shell. Good load of spares with it too. Needs head lights wired up(morretts), window washer bottle and pump and proper harness eye bolts and it should mot ok. Was going to track it on the top marques night on the 27th but i have been told i would need an mot. Or get the car scrutineered but the guys that do the scrutineeriing aren`t there till the 29th. any suggestions i get the car on the 21st. so will only have 6days to get the car an mot for knockhill unless anyone knows a scrutineer that can check it over? any one wanna help me get it ready for mot? Dunno if you have thought about it Jodie but what about a golf Gti pick them up for not much money and they are bomb proof wi good ride and are pretty quick. Just an idea. I have a mk3 2ltr 8 valve and get a good 300-330 miles out a tank and its about £35 to fill. insurance is cheap and so are parts if anything does go wrong. Labour is the cheapest cause its pretty easy and simple to work on. Cheers Greig

Go to www.allbrandsnew.com Give them a phone tell them what colour you want then say to them to add the alarm and tracker for free and you buy the car at least get the cat 1 for nout. I bought my SWRT from there (basically the same as wrx 300 but without ppp) i said to the salesman get me the alarm for free and ill stick a deposit down and come pick it up when ready. he said no bother. Got the train down no probs. Then had a great first drive of a subaru. 340 miles home lol On the warrenty side there are now no problems with euro import cars IM is fully reconising them and all brands new sort that all out for you. Serviceing is no problem either. Hope this helps
