  2. I wasn't having a go at individuals - it was just a couple of examples that's all. I just think that CADS will struggle while people are atracted to SMACS via SN. Lets hope 2007 is a good year for both clubs[]
  3. I've been watching the debate with interest but I think there are some fundamental issues here which the CADS have no influence over, being. 1. SMACS - while this club is going strong (and there are almost 80 people who have 'joined') CADS is always going to come off second best unfortunately. 2. There are only so many Sunday meetings people want to go to - no one seems particularly bothered about organsing run outs, special interest trips etc. The summer show season is OK but more variety is needed apart from just attending shows. Even when members have been invited to other events there seems to be an apathy in attending. The evening meeting at the Swettenham Arms last year is one example and another example is the end of year run out last December into North Wales - several CADS said they would go but in the end no one did except for SMACS members. (and a cracking run out it was too.) 3. I am going to M Sport in Cumbria in a few weeks which has been arranged by Andy S - he has also arranged trips to Prodrive - we couldn't do this in CADS as you need at least 15 people on each trip. 4. SIDC forums are dead in the winter - no one has anything particularly interesting to say and some of the threads advising that people have got rid of their Scoobs is hardly going to encourage new blood.- Scoobynet is active all year round not just in the summer and although there is a lot of crap on there it is certainly more interesting than SIDC IMHO. Personally although CADS was my first introduction to a Scoob club, weekends tend to be very busy for me and so Sunday meetings are not particularly good for me. Evening meetings are better fo me - would anyone consider this? I don't want this to be seen as a total negative but thought I would stick in my twopenneth (Flame suit on.........)
  4. Not yet Liz - I'll give it a go this week though
  5. Aye not bad really - 11 up on standard and most people were down on expected figures - some nice motors there though - still tempted by a PPP STi though[Y] It was good to hear the car at full chat though from outside - its still quite loud even though its just the Racebox but nothing compared to the boys with the Nur Spec's - they are something else
  6. No need for that Mr Rasher[] No Scoob goodies this time but its going on the rollers on Saturday so I'm looking forward to seeing what its putting out
  7. I'm here[] Cheers guys
  8. I might be.............. but only for a blobeye STI PPP[]
  9. Good to see you're back Bob - all the best for 2007
  10. Glad to hear it Andy - just in time for the new year
  11. No more flames at the Blackpool Big One[li][] Good luck for the future Criss
  12. A bit short of imagination here too[:$] (although I was surprised that no-one had already taken it[])
  13. Did you speak to Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels Lee? If not you may have got a higher quote than with Gary. Mine is £650 with zorst lights spoiler and brakes declared 22000 miles per annum with business use protected full ncd 34 yo with the wife as a named driver.
  14. Sorry I couldn't make it - we've sent Bob a card anyway
  15. I'm going on the SMACS run into N Wales on the 17th - anyone else fancy this? PM me for more details if you're interested
  16. Sorry to hear this Andy - glad everyone's OK. Chin up it'll soon be Christmas[Y]
  17. Its on the wish list Andy[]
  18. At last the pics! The grill gives the front a more finished off look than the OEM one IMO - plus the pink I badge of course! The painted brake calipers look better as well although they do need another coat of red and then the lettering repainted in white. TSL carbon fibre strut brace arrived yesterday but haven't had time to fit it yet Front splitter should arrived this week and hopefully the new wheels will be on by Christmas. When will the modding end? LOL
  19. Its painted but not on the car yet - does anyone know how to get badges off the grill or is it just a big screwdriver job?
  20. As a member of both CADS and SMACS each club has its only merits - there are some top guys (and girls) at both meets (as I am sure Moneys and Jenni will agree). It is only friendly banter (although could be interpreted as more than that) - the good thing for me about SMACS is that they meet on a Thursday night which doesn't affect the weekend which are always busy (we also get a noisy tunnel run on the way home[]) As Lee said the best thing to do is go to both and make you own mind up. PS Hope all goes well for you Andy and Nic PPS Glad to hear you're doing OK Bob
  21. Good news Andy[Y]
  22. I'll post some up this week - they need another coat really but they do look well against the silver alloys[Y] I'll post up the new grill pics at the same time once its been sprayed and fitted.
  23. He's moved onto Spencer Industrial Estate and there was no one there yesterday - I've got his moby number though so I'll try him again today. Updated - will be ready on Tuesday - another mod to go with my new red calipers! Cheers for the intro Andy[Y]
  24. Nice one Andy - I know where you mean - I'm off this week so I'll bob up there tomorrow[Y]
  25. Hi Andy A while ago you said you had a mate in Buckley who does spraying - could you PM me his details - my new STi grill has arrived but its white unfortunately. Cheers Si
