Andy Forrest fitted me in yesterday with only two days notice - I needed the CEL suppressed following the fitting of a decat downpipe last week plus he remapped the car again to take account of the new downpipe. And what a result! DeltaDyno showed around 270bhp and 290lb-ft and boy does that torque show up between 3500 and 5000 revs !! The car's running like a dream. Derek

Probably more than I expected to be honest but if it took 3 hours then it's only about £30 an hour. I was quoted £45/hour plus vat by AWD in Perth. No offence taken!

Chris, I supplied the downpipe myself - got a good second hand one with only a couple of thousand miles on it then wrapped it myself. Also had the resonator replacement pipe. Cost £100 +VAT to fit both - not bad since they had some problems with bolts that wouldn't come off! I previously asked them for a supply and fit price for a downpipe and they wanted £293. Hi folks, Thought I'd let you know that I got a decat downpipe fitted by C&C in Hillington on Friday and they did a great job. They also replaced the resonator section with a straight through pipe. Car is driving great and sounds even better than before without being too loud (WR Sport backbox). I'll probably schedule a tweak to my remap in the New Year........... Cheers, Derek

It was my red WRX at C&C on Friday! Got a decat downpipe fitted and the resonator section changed to a straight through - kept the centre cat for MOT reasons. The guys did a great job and I'm pleased with the result, although I've not had a good run in the car yet to really appreciate the change. Sounds even better now (kept my WR Sport backbox). I've got a Graco baby seat suitable from birth to about 9-12 months plus the matching base. The seat is black/grey and is in excellent condition, as is the base (black). The base stays in the car (secured by the seat belt) and the baby seat lifts in and out - much easier than securing the baby seat with the seat belt every time! It's also got all the seat inserts, hood and instructions. I can guarantee that the seat has not been in an accident, since I've had it from new. £25, collection from Glasgow - this really is a bargain. I can email a picture if anyone is interested. Thanks guys. I'm tending towards AWD due to their experience with Subarus but I never considered wrapping the up/down pipes. Is this necessary or is it just a "nice to have"? Cheers, Derek

Hi folks, I'm thinking about getting a de-cat downpipe fitted on my MY01 WRX. Any recommendations for where I could get this done around Glasgow or central Scotland? I've heard C&C in Hillington are ok for custom exhausts - anybody had this done here? Meercat too in Kilbirnie but maybe an H&S pipe from AWD in Perth might be the safest option? I have a MY01 (newage) exhaust backbox for sale. This is the standard Subaru twin pipe backbox and was on the car for about three years and 30,000 miles. It is still sound and would be ideal for anyone looking for a cheap replacement for a damaged box or if putting their car back to standard. £25 - buyer collects only (Glasgow south side).
