Priceless !!
I think it was a blessing in disguise spinning out on the first corner, mind you i'd like to have seen how he would have got on with the rest of the lap... lol

Need some advice here folks.
My mate had a wee bump at the weekend and has damaged his front bumper beyond repair. He contacted Subaru and was quoted around £160 (i think) for bumper. Asked how much the grille was and it's around £250..eeek.
So.. are the lower grilles on the WR1 the same as the STi ?
If so, where would be the best place to get one cheaper than the dealers and what years of car have the same fitment.
Thanks

]Didn't realise it was a 2 litre higgy.
It'll be a quick little buggy, that's for sure. [Y]
Imagine a similar set up in a Classic.
No hold on you do not need to imagine, you just need to remember

Anyone seen one of these fitted ? What connects the CAK to where the airbox is ?
-
I will be fitting this shortly and need some advice. I have the cast pipe and a new K&N filter, is there something else i need to fit it ?
Have seen a couple of pics and it looks like I'm maybe missing a part or two for connecting it. Where does the pipe end with the bolt holes fit on to ?
cheers

Frank,
You'll be fine with them in Port Seton.
Know the guys there...Robert is a great technician, and Martin will keep you right.
Hi Johnny,
It's Martin and Phil i know through work, both seem really great guys and have the attention to detail i'm looking for
How do you know them dood ?
I take it Robert is the new start ? I think that would be the guy i had a blether with while waiting for Martin to come back.
He even tried to sell me a Ferrari lolol.

Could be interested in an Exedy clutch and possibly a flywheel when the time comes, prices permitting..[

Don't think its you mate... think it is the alarm...
Do you have a spare key fob, ie the spare? If so maybe have it handy and if it happens give it a shot... on the other hand though entering the pin into the keypad should defo have worked.... i would try and get Subaru or a Sigma alarm specialist to take a look (that said i may be barking up the wrong tree but thats where i would be heading towards)
I've tried both sets of keys Chris but to no avail
After i'd put in the pin number it did lock and then re-open the doors and put the light on the dash but still diddly squat.
Looks like i'll need to delve into the modding fund to find out once and for all..[:'(]

Cal, i think Grant will break some kind of personal record if he keeps it for a couple of years lol..[

Surely got to be immobiliser related..... take it you have the standard sigma alarm?
When you have the key in and your at the ignition setting if you press the alarm key (like you have to when you leave it over 30 secs) does it do anything, i'm sure i used to hear a click as though the relay had been engaged / dis-engaged or something... can't remember if the light on the dash went or not either?? (i've got a classic with aftermarket alarm now so can't compare)
Yes it's the standard Sigma Alarm. Can't remeber the procedure exactly.. When it didn't start i pressed the fob, it locked the doors, pressed it again so both immobiliser lights came and then.. Nothing..[:^)] On saturday night i stooped at the shop ,came out and the same thing happened. then it started after 3 attempts ( still no turn-over).. It's starting to do ma nut in.
Am i missing something here ?

Anyone else had problems with Dunc getting back in touch with them ?
Went through 2 or 3 weeks ago to get my geometry done and had to hang around for 2-3 hrs as he forgot to book me in. I then asked him about fitting some parts for me and he said ..send me an E-mail and we'll sort something out but Nothing !!
Is he really busy, forgetful or just not interested ?
It doesn't really fill me with confidece about taking the car through a second time..[:|]

So its not even turning over?? Must be either starter motor or immob surely, if it was fuel pump, fuel filter etc it would prolly turnover but just not spark.... ??
Chris, that's the bit that's confusing me..It's not turning over..after the ignition lights..........Nothing.
-
Alan, i've not long replaced the fuel pump to support my future mods so i had thought of that but im no mechanic so dont understand what's going on.Never thought about the filter though.
Most of the time you Do hear the pump prior to start up but sometimes you Don't.. If it was fuel related wouldn't i hear some noise from the starter instead of silence . It did happen once before i changed the f/pump but i just put it down to phone masts , now it's happening to often for comfort.
Thanks for the help so far guys. Much appreciated .[Y]

Hi Dave,
First thing i tried was entering the pin number but sadly had no effect (apart from what it's meant to do ) . That's why im starting to wonder what's going on. Hope it's nothing too serious.

Just what i needed Al. The plastic cover looks alot tidier than the tape i've got in place at the moment. I think i'll just ask for one of them the next time I'm passing the dealers.
Much appreciated Al ..[
