  1. I see what your getting at, although the car still builds the right amount of boost just doesn't hold it. Car is going to garage for oil change on Saturday so i'll ask about trying a different MAF Cheers for your help mate
  2. I see what your saying about changing the MAF and now having the problem but how would a new maf affect holding boost?
  3. No got it fitted at Xtreme Scoobies. It took a couple of starts before the ECU learned about the new MAF and after that the drive home was when I noticed the boost tailing off to quick.
  4. I changed the MAF because of running problems when starting from cold, rough idling etc. The ECU was reset but had no fault codes.....um Whats your thoughts on using an manual boost controller are they any good? Remap is out of the question as just had to fork out for four new Eagle F1's
  5. Funny thing is the car was fine until I changed the maf as it was faulty!
  6. Hello all couple of questions regarding loss of boost. I have a MY00 Turbo 2000 classic which is suffering from intermittent boost loss. Car hits about 0.7 bar in third and then tails off straight away even though I am still accelerating revs are around 4.000 mark. it only seems to be 2nd and 3rd gears affected as 4th holds at 1.0bar until I lift off the loud pedal. I have checked all the hoses leaks and cleaned the boost solenoid. Could this be a leaking dumpvalve or possibly a duff solenoid? Would it be worthwhile changing to an MBC and bypass the solenoid all together? Are MBC's safe to use as the ecu no longer has control over the boost? Thanks Only mods are full decat system with a panel filter
