  1. you could always put double the amount in and then you'd have 10/60
  2. I agree to an extent mate but what would probably help is when you run the mouse over the topic then you get the first 3 or 4 lines of the topic displayed. Other forums that i use - which shall remain nameless for fear of recrimination - have this feature and it helps with whether you want to read something or not. Sadly it doesn't stop the usual my car's better than yours AND it's a diesel malarkey So, how easy would that be to do then?
  3. I've got a Road Angel classic gps/blackspot detector with the laser detector as well for sale folks. My wife normally has the scooby and drives like a big girl's blouse so has told me WE don't NEED it and would like a stick on sat-nav thing instead. I only got it last december so it still has 8 months subscription left and comes with all the instructions/leads and box. I paid £300 for it but will take £150 and for that i'll include the next day insured delivery. Anyone interested? Martin
  4. I may be wrong on this but i thought these were the ones you get from a dealer for £45 - after the sidc discount ?
  5. depends on the tyre mate, i just weighed one for you with a michelin pliot tyre and it was 20kg on the button, if it's bridgestone with the heavier sidewall that may take it up to 22kg but should be no more than that. personally i've been lucky with royal snail - if you can sneak the parcel under the 20kg then it can go their standard parcel rate which is only£11 for 20kg. I'm guessing these will probably be more so you could be looking at around £50-60 for their parcelforce 48 hour job. If you can put it thro a business then TNT are quite cheap - got a friend with a business? i hope that helps Martin
  6. Spot the muppet I haven't had my private messenger turned on so, sorry about that Martin
  7. Hi there I'll send you a pm mate as i don't want to hi-jack this thread with more talk of Beemers Martin
  8. Thanks for that boys Sounds like he had a good 'un straight out the box at 319. I imagine the gruppeM sounded quite tasty then, oh yeah how much for those by the way Martin
  9. I've got a full set of 225/45/17 michelin pliot sport tyres for sale - the fronts have only done a few hundred miles and as such are still like new with 7-8mm of tread, the rears have done a bit more and have 5mm of tread left on each. All 4 are in good condition with no nicks, marks or punctures. The pads may or may not be of use to someone on here. They're the official prodrive pads for the 330 brake conversion and are a bit rough. i've had an issue with sticking pistons in the caliper and as such only one side has been working right. The result is that 2 of the pads have reached their wear limit and have only 2-3mm left whereas the other 2 pads have got 7-8mm left. It may seem a bit cheeky trying to sell these but if someone's had the same issue as me then these could be for you. The last thing is a black original impreza wrx car mat for the passenger side front. It's the one with WRX ebroidered on in blue and came from a bugeye but will fit all new age i believe. It's a long story how i came to end up with just the one but it's in good nick with no wear. i've not reached the dizzy heights of posting photos on here yet so if anyone wants a photo could they pm me please.
  10. Hi there Any of you boys know what the m3 evo did then and was he standard? Those things usually don't have anywhere near the 321bhp claimed by BMW so would be interesting to hear about his figures. Cheers Martin
  11. So he was in second gear then at 69? Joking aside i much prefer the scooby in this kind of weather but the beemer is rather scary
  12. I sent you a pm so we can stop torturing everybody else on here Martin
  13. Why do you say the Balmoral then, is it your local as i only stay 100yds away! Thankfully not in insurance - once a year phoning around is enough for me. Yes it's a manual.....
  14. You're not wrong about passing petrol stations i seem to be on first name terms with the guy at the shell station in town. However that's not the only thing the car doesn't pass. You're right it was my wife and she has a car from the dark side of the force - it's a beemer with an m at the front. It scares the pants off me! i'll have to try that exscuse when i'm waving at all the ladies now - i thought it was a scooby they were driving, honest. Did anything come of trying to organise a meet in dumfries then?
  15. have you had anyone else in town wave to you then, as i'm sure the rest aren't up for it? What flaps were they then, black wrx ones from Scot Lowe?
  16. Hi Gordon I've got a "was that you?" on the edinburgh road - in Dumfries - today just before lunch as i gave somebody a wave in a wr blue wrx bugeye - i was in the wagon version of same? Martin
  17. Hi Gordon - and everyone else I'm yet another newbie from Dumfries having just got the car before christmas. It's a WR Blue Bugeye Wagon and i love it to bits. If i see any of you about i'll give you a wave. Quick question, does the desire to spend money and modify the car pass with time or am i in for a money-free future? Cheers Martin
