  1. Just out of curiousity how do you stand if you are not happy with the repair?
  2. Has anyone used them? What are they like? Car is going their to get repaired after some kn*b crashed into it while it was parked in the street. thanks Michael
  3. Thanks everyone for all the replies. I will check it once I get my car back. Someone crashed into it outside my house on Wednesday and I don;t know when I will get it back.
  4. Hi everyone, my car is still overheating. It runs fine whne I fill up the header tank and overflow but after a long drive the water seems to disappear from the header tank and needs about 2 - 3 litres of water to fill back up to top. There are no puddles on the floor so I know it is not leaking and has really got me stumped so where is the water going? Also car overheats when stationary and only way to get the temp down is to keep it 2k revs, but this only happens whens the water is low. Any help is as usual greatly appreciated. TIA Michael
  5. Johnny can you pm your moby please, thanks Michael

  7. Hi everyone, does anyone know a good website that gives the specs of all Subaru's, ie sti v3, sti v4, uk turbo etc? Thanks in advance Mikey
  8. Ok everyone, managed to get problem sorted. Added 2 litres of antifreeze, let the car run with the cap off for a while so as to get the air bubbles to come to the top, held the pedal down to 2k revs for a couple of mins, topped up again and again and problem sorted. Running sweet as a nut now Thanks for all the help. Mikey
  9. Thanks everyone for help and suggestions. I will try this and see if works. Thanks Mikey
  10. Hi everyone, have a tricky one for you. I have recently changed the water pipe from the thermostat housing to the oil filter and I am haviing problems. After loosing some antifreeze I temporarily filled up with water which should be fine. But what is happening now is that the car is starting to overheat and the heater is only blowing out cold air. But, and there has to be a but, when driving the temperature drops and stays at a normal level and hot air comes out but when stationary the car starts to overheat nearly to the top. Any advice as per usual would be greatly appreciated. Best regards Mikey
  11. No probs Johnny, I wouldn't sell it before giving you the plate back.
  12. Hi Grant, I am in 2 minds. I have been looking at other Scooby's and if someone came along at the right price I probably would sell. It's not that I don't like the car, I absolutly love it, I just fancy a saloon. But I know I will be gutted when I do sell it. Also can;t get enough of the Subaru burble. Cheers Mikey.
  13. Thanks for the replies guys. I know that there was a problems with the lambda sensor and they had to replace part of the wire because the emissions where to high. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Dougster, how much for the O2 sensor? Thanks again everyone Mikey
  14. Thanks Dougster, I had the plugs changed last August, so I don't think it could be them. Might be the coil pack. Is it easy to replace? Thanks Mikey
  15. I have got a problem with my MY98. Sometimes, not always, when in any gear from 2k to 3k revs the car really struggles to pull. Sounds as though it is going to cut out, but it doesn't happen all the time. Really strange as it doesn't happen all the time. Your thoughts and ideas would really be appreciated. Cheers Mikey
  16. Hi everyone, Had my car on the ramp last night and noticed that the oil pressure, cooling pipe, can;t remember the name, at the front bottom of the radiator is cracked and needs replacing, where can I get a new one, it is for a MY98. Thanks in advance Mikey
  17. Hi guys, put the car in for an MOT and it failed on emissions, told the guy to replace the centre section that I have with it and he is asking me for the original backbox as well. Is he right? Surely I don't need that to pass the emissions test, really don;t want to have to fork out a couple of hundred quid on that. Thanks Mikey
  18. Hi everyone, joined this today to support cheaper petrol prices. Don;t know when it will start but money off the most expensive petrol, ie Optimax, can only be a good thing and its FREE. So join up and help support the cause. Cheaper Petrol Thanks Mikey
  19. As everyone knows Scoobies are really quick but what surprised me was when travelling back from Edinburgh I had a Honda CRX on my tail. As I leaving the roundabout I accelerated, thinking that I would leave him for dead but noooo he stuck to my a$$, I pulled over and he just zoomed past I was shaking my head in disbelief, how the hell was it so quick. Anyway my question is what cars have you come across and been really surprised at how quick they were? Take care everyone Mikey
  20. Thanks everyone for all the help, unfortunately the d/v goes belly up the before I go for a long weekend, I am going to get new one . Thanks again everyone for the help.
  21. Not something I have spare as well here goes another £150 odd quid.
  22. I do, I will try it tonight to see if it loses any pressure, but I take it I am better to get it replaced anyway?
  23. Hi Colinj, It doesn't feel as powerful but I don't know if it still holds the boost, or I'm just use to the car, didn't want to drive it fast in case there was something serious with it. Will it cause any damage? Thanks Michael
  24. If it is a weak spring is it serious? will it cause damage to the car if I don;t get fixed asap?
