About Sives

  1. Thanks Guys Not quite as much as I was led to believe. Maybe I can have a good Christmas after all! Cheers
  2. New to Scoobie ownership and have not experienced the lows of high cost ownership yet (apart from petrol and 4 new tyres!) I have a 2002 WRX Impreza and it is due its 40000 mile service soon. Anyone know what I should be expecting to pay from a Subaru Garage for this? Think I had better start saving.
  3. Yeah it was bloody cold. Raining - pure miserable. Went out in the car this afternoon - fine as normal, no power surge (Better weather!) Think you hit the nail on the head with your guess. Visa Card can stay in its pocket for a wee while longer!
  4. Just back from a blast in the countryside and noticed an odd thing. The car for no reason (that I know of) now suddenly blasts into life with a noticeable kick in power once the revs hit 5000rpm. The power appears to be progressive as before up to this point but something has changed. (NOT SURE IF THIS IS A GOOD OR BAD THING) I fitted a dump valve 2 months ago and a Pipercross filter panel around a month ago. Has my turbo suddenly woken up? Or is it fu**ed? Can anybody help? Thanks
  5. Whats TFL stand for ? and how much will a back box set me back?
  6. Bought a WR Sport backbox a few months back when purchasing my car. Although better sounding than the standard exhaust it is nowhere near as good as some scoobys I have heard. Can anyone recommend a LOUD back box for the bugeye model. I have heard plenty good sounding boxes on the Classic shaped Scoobies. Anyone?? Thanks
  7. Am I too late to join the list? Looking for one to fit my 2002 bugeye WRX. Do they fit without modification (ie new hole drilling and filling etc?)
  8. Does anyone know where I can get a 'Big' spoiler like that on the Prodrive STI bugeye cars? I am looking for one that does not need new holes drilled or existing filled. I know that the Subaru official one is £900 but don't want to spend that sort of money. Thanks
  9. Thanks Tried the site. Looks like some bargains
  10. Looking to go up to the knockhill trackday on the 11th September. No doubt after a blast around the track my tyres will finally need replacing. Does anyone know if tyre provider TOYO will be at knockhill? I am looking for 4 new hard wearing tyres (fitted) for my Scooby WRX 2002 model (215's) to replace the standard Bridgestones. What is the likely cost anyone??? Do you get a discount as a SIDC member? Thanks
  11. This has probably been asked a million times before so I apoligise in advance. I own a Scooby WRX 2002 (for 3 months now) and am new to the whole mod. thing. Was thinking of getting a full induction kit (for better performance and more importantly GROWL) The other option is a cheaper performance panel filter.(I believe you get little induction roar of this) What is best? Which kits are worth investing in (K&N, Pipercross etc). Help!
  12. Hi I am new to the SIDC club having recently joined. I have booked a place on the Trackday this weekend at knockhill. I have a helmet but do you require anything else? I have been to motorcycle track days before and needed tape to cover up my number plate and lights. Also sometime had to remove the wing mirrors! Help Andy
