I wouldn`t like to think how much i spent in total if i include other parts.. Defis, whiteline kit all round, new springs, wheels.WRC Alcons etc... Becomes a shocking amount. Only item i`ve purchased new for this car has been the d/pipe. The rest have all been used.

After my results at Dastek last weekend, i was making a comparison, to my last wagon, and the amount of cash i threw at it, for not a lot more power. Just trying to decide wether its worth starting to spend money again. Current wagon is an MY00 90k on the clock. Made 249.1bhp @ 6500rpm, and 229.4ft.lb @4000rpm. 0.9bar 95 Ron fuel. Engine mods are : Sti8 tmic, and full decat. Total cost (parts only) = 700 quid. Now, my last wagon. MY98 80k on the clock. Made 277.5bhp @ 6500rpm, and 255.5ft.lb @5000rpm. 1.4bar 98 Ron fuel. Engine mods list was, HKS fmic. HKS equal headers. H&S up-pipe. H&S Full decat. Blitz sus induction, HKS ssqv d/v. IHI VF30 turbo. 440cc injectors. Walbro 255. Gems ECU. Total cost (parts only) = 4500 quid !!! Now, when you look at the huge difference in cost, against the results, i`m really wondering if i`m wasting my time, and money, if i want to take this further. Obviously no two cars perform the same, but even then, i`m not sure if i`m willing to do all this again. What do you guys think ?

I`ve bought 2 cars in the past from March Motors, never been let down yet. Was up there on Thursday actually, a few nice scoobs sitting outside, and a cracking black Evo.

Spotted an unmarked Dark Blue Mondeo yesterday just after Forfar too, it had just pulled someone. Looked very subtle !

After a brief conversation with the owner, it seems the boost controller was all over the place, otherwise it would`ve been a lot stronger on the rollers. As if it needs to be !!! []

Have always ran mine on Tescos finest...as did the previous owner. Never had one problem at all running it. Also, at Dastek on saturday, after the car had ran, Gerry said it was running spot on, no sign of det anywhere, and it was holdling 14psi (0.9bar) I will move up to Optimax when its getting mapped though.

Wullie, I would`ve thought that was a good result. What mods are you running ?

I made 249.1bhp/229.4ft.lb with full decat, sti8 tmic and 95ron tesco fuel. Was very happy with that, car was running spot on too which was my main concern.

Seen a black newage Sti on the back of a recovery wagon up in Aberdeen yesterday..bit smashed at the front. [] Weather was pretty grim up there, and not too good here now.

I would think the turbo will have to be converted to front entry first before fitting.

Carl, my new jobs means i'm visiting all the Lloyds TSB branches throughout Scotland, upgrading the BT CSDN connections to new network cards, so they can eventually go voice over IP. It's all backshift though. I do have a mate that stays in Whitehills, but he's at Sea at the moment, and i cant get a hold of him to see if i can use his place. bu66er.

Can anyone recommend anywhere decent to stay up North ? Am going to be working up there for the next few weeks, Aberdeen, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Banff, Buckie, Turriff and Aboyne. Somewhere fairly central to them all would be good, and around £50ish a night (i'm tight [] ) Thanks a lot. Johnny.

Not personally had any experience with them, but i know a few guys who have, and had no problems at all.
