Apologies if this isn't in the right forum, been a while since I posted.
My car is an 00 Impreza Turbo 200 AWD with 45K on the clock.
I'm moving (country) and sadly my Scooby can't come with so my dream of getting it back on the road is blown :-( It's been in storage (outside) for approx 3 years and I recently stuck a battery on it and it started first time after some spluttering. A garage had a look and said I'll need tires/brake pads/discs/timing belt doing at least and then it'll depend what more an MOT might find. The bodywork is in fair condition with 1 long scratch from some idiot who keyed it years ago so could use a touch up. I suspect it might cost me best part of 1.5K to get it in a sellable condition.
I've looked around and if it was in fair condition with an MOT I might get 2 and a bit K according to autotrader but I'm wondering if it's worth it or whether I should just stick it on ebay/gumtree. I don't really know if there is much of a market for an older model like this so wary of spending the cash and then not being able to sell it. Also considering if I should just sell it for the parts, has some nice 18" gold superleggera oz racing wheels that must be worth a few hundred for example and the interior, seats etc. are all fine.
Hate to sell it as I've had it since 2001 and it's done itself proud but now it's just a money sink in storage costs.
Appreciate this is a tad open/vague just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or advice!
