I know you can swap the tracker, but I'm not sure about the subscription...

I don't think you will find anything cheap - I have RAC Trackstar on mine & it cost £500 including fitting at a place of your choice and then £325 for the lifetime subscription, which is a good idea if you are keeping the car for more than 3 years... I also ring them up every couple of months and get them to track the car to make sure it's still working
