  1. Easy way to put new bearings in: Bearing in freezer overnight, hub in oven for half an hour. Bearing drops straight in... usually
  2. They've had my car for 2 weeks now investigating a non-starting fault.......
  3. On motorway, slowed for 40mph restriction at roadworks, changed down from 6th and engine just died, no spluttering or hesitating, off like a lightswitch.no CEL, Starter ok, fuel pump ok, Alarm module ok. No spark at plugs. Voltage to Ecu ok, fuses all ok. No fault code through OBD All engine earths ok, ( 2 x LHS Inlet manifold, 1 x rhs manifold, 1x gearbox, 1 x starter.) wiring looks ok everywhere. ideas?
  4. Free fuel deal ' not applicable to new MY2007 models'......so does this mean only those in stock in the showroom now? 'No change given on vouchers'.....they're not something stupid like £100 each are they?........just a thought..
  5. I had one set of redstuff on my bugeye and hated them. Noisy, grabby and didnt last. I get all my pads from these chaps now: http://www.speedways.co.uk/shop/ they are cheap as chips , have a useful illustrated catalogue and their stuff is really good quality. My local brake 'torture track' ( fast A road downhill into 4 hairpins in succession, complete with escape gravel trap!) shows that they will fade about half way down , whereas the ebcs would be ok to the bottom. For 99% of most other brisk driving , they are just fine.
  6. Zippylane. How was your experience of motorpoint. their price is the best I can find on the internet , by there seem to be a few posts on the forum about warranty issues etc with them. Are you logged as the first registered owner?, have there been any warranty problems? BTW, my hirecar was tailended by a ambulance in cardiff 2 years ago....was it you!!!!..lol
