About iain_scotland

  1. No such luck as being in Dubai or any kind of civilisation. I am stuck in the Desert North of Dammam in Saudi Arabia. One bonus is we have or have had just about all the 4x4's on the market. Evo V currently in hands of surveyor. Stolen regularly by just about every one on site. Our lot have been trying to get WRX. STI no go as far as the boss is concerned. Last 300bhp car we had was a slightly modified Land Rover. Too many rolls in the desert with that one, although the roll cage was superb
  2. Welcome to the Middle East I think Dubai sources American Spec cars same as Saudi. The WRX on offer up here comes with very little but to add all the toys is relatively cheap compared to the UK. Still trying to convince boss that we need WRX instead of a Suburban. The thing you have to remember is the power loss in the summer when it gets up to 45C going on 50C. Then again it does not matter which car you have they are all affected at those temps. Oh and the rubber out here is naff, cheap but naff.
  3. Cheers. Off to try the phone lines. Hope there are no censors there.
  4. Does any one have contact details for Drive in Falkirk. Due to the seriously odd internet system in this country I am not allowed access to their web site. Need to contact them to book car in for PPP which they should have in stock by now.
  5. Used to do ship inspections down there and regularly take the p#ss out of Lee and Gillian in shipping
  6. Ah but you could be on the other side with the red and gold crowd or their neighbours. Nick name I picked up out here. Small Scot everybody else is over six feet two
  7. I Used to work there as a contractor little company. Now in sunnier climes. Last cloud seen in April. But I did remember a car at the main gate or at the back of the lab.
  8. CAZ1562 do you work for a green and gold company in central with attached dock? Silver Subaru?
  9. instructions for use - Light blue touch paper and retreat to a safe distance
  10. Sadly it's 3500 miles away until September 1st when I get home. Know how you feel Phil.
  11. I have just done the oil search. Now I understand the fear. No offense meant btw
  12. << But with speeding being the biggest single cause of death on the roads >> Propaganda at its best. . It is the inappropriate use of speed and driver idiocy that causes accidents and death. When I read how technology is going to save our lives it saddens me, that we miss out on teaching the basics of driving a car properly. Living in a country where you can buy a driving licence really drives home how important driver training really is.
  13. Caprice is an Yank Tank. A car that should have stayed on the drawing board. Typical american suspension system all floaty. Devoid of any curves and they are about the same size as a Omega. I must admit I like watching them as they try to corner. The look of panic on the drivers faces is very amusing Chunky Chicken (our driver well padded lad) will be ok. no injuries to anybody. . Nissan is a write off and maybe the the Caprice that caused the accident. The other one has some heavy front end damage
  14. Work is actually distracting me. One of our drivers has rolled a Nissan twin cab and on the bright side he took out two Caprices
