I had to drive up the A9 to Inverness on Saturday, what a nightmare that was, it started snowing when I left Perth and it barely let up the whole way to Inverness, the road was in a shocking state! Do Bear not use snowploughs now, as all they were doing was gritting the road. Coming over Drumochter the road was all white it was difficult to know where the kerb or the middle of the road was! Loads of flooding down the road, i hope the sanal doesn't burst it's just accros from my house

Looking For Glass for Front Fog for a '95 Classic
Chick replied to McGoo's topic in Scottish Scoobies
AFAIK the units are sealed and generally u can only get the whole lamp, I have seen plenty SH ones on Ebay, the MY95 ones are pretty reasonably priced. I have an MY99 with a burst lens too Am on the look out for a new one too, although I'm noping santy will bring me a set of PIAA's to replace them LOL! -
That's cheap! It's not worth the hassle of doing it yourself for that price! It's a messy old business! RS Grant, you wouldn't be the same dude that had a black J reg S2 RS Turbo?

Galloway Hills Rally - Sunday 5th December
Chick replied to derek_robertson's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Superb event! Was a mixed day for us, we started the first stage half asleep things were looking better for the second stage until we came out of a Open Hairpin Right and found a box of neutrals!! Pick a gear any gear! 2nd it was and we spluttered off again! The 3rd stage went by fairly uneventfully, things were looking OK for for a top 3 finish in class 7. Went in to the 4th stage fighting for 2nd in class and suffered a puncture caused by some fairly large sharp cube shaped rocks in the middle of the stage! Stage 5 started well, we were flying, until I noticed a lucozade bottle flying about in the drivers footwell! Alistair managed to punt it in to my footwell where I managed to grab it! Then half way through the stage we flew off a Medium Left in to a very large soft ditch! Many thanks to the speccys that helped us out, I didn't think that we were going to make it back out, I even had to get out and push!! This trip in to the scenery seemed to make us quicker and the wee nova took some amount of punishment for the rest of the stage!! Magic day's rallying! Saw tons of scoobies, can't remember any reg's LOL! Although I did see a very nice WR1 going about the service area. -
Yeah that's the very one! Totally agree, wit u devlin, though I suspect that they weren't ripped off by an actual owner, probably find the bits bein sold off on e bay or down the boozer

Gutted for ya m8! I remember seeing a tidy uk turbo that always parked in the same place in holburn street in Aberdeen, I lost count of the number of times I saw the car without a spoiler I presume it kept getting nicked cos it was without one for ages. I just discovered a 12" scratch across the bonnet of mine the other week and I was nearly in tears! Why do people have no respect for other people's property these days!!

Hi folks, took a run up to knockhill yesterday, was a bit late in the day, but saw a few well smart scoobies there, were any of them u? Saw a very smart silver classic track car, had a carbon bonnet on it and all stickered up, looked well smart! Wish I had got there earlier to see it on track!

Magic! There's a guy just down the road from my work got a black one of them, tinted windows chrome wheels etc, mighty machine!

I always let in other scooby drivers, I have noticed since buying my first scooby a couple of months ago that I attract a lot of unwanted attention from other road users, and find that folk are not so forgiving as they are when I'm in ma old beat up Rover! LOL maybe they take pity on me in the old rove!! LOL

Mod Parts For Sale For Classic Impreza Turbos
Chick replied to Gordon Shek's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Gordon, what tailpipe is on the scoobysport box? Have you still got it? -
Agree with you guys Kinghorn are very good, I've also seen a mates car repaired at Carden Motor Co just off Broomhill road before the old BM garage, they did a very good paint job and the panel fit was excellent too, can't remember what the price was though. Sorry to hear you had a bump m8.

What's on? If I was going I'd be going over the Kincardine bridge.

Cheers guys, will hopefully get entry sorted when the regs get published!
-
Me and my m8 are thinking of doing this event, we compete in the County Saab SRC, it's finished for the season and we need a fix of rallying! Do you know how much the entry is gonna be?

Am on the look out for a front spoiler for my MY99 UK turbo, should the P1 spoiler fit straight on it? How much hassle is involved, I know of one on Ebay going for £135 plus p+p. What d you reckon?
-
Yeah, that's me Carl, I still haven't got it on the road yet, I rebuilt the whole thing and got as far as getting the rebuilt engine in it until I ran out of money/time and I sold the engine off to a mate that has a van with an RS engine in it. I still got the rest of it and am intending finishing it and selling it. I got myself a tidy MY99 UK turbo now, only 40K on the clock and not a scratch on it (yet!) Lookin out for a few bits an bobs to tart it up a bit too. Will get it on the rollers some time too, shame I can't make it to this event though, all the best for the day m8.

I just got my first Scooby a couple of weeks ago, shame I hadn't seen this thread earlier, would have liked to put my name on the list! Am goin away this weekend now so can't go Will keep ma eye out for future events though. Carl I reckon I met you before, I recognise the car, did you used to have an RS Turbo? I think I bought some front springs off you a few months back?

Tour of Mull is one of the best rallies in the world! The Island is just completely taken over by the whole event, I have never been but know folk that have competed and spectated, I think that the biggest problem is trying to get accomodation. The reserve list for entries to the event is bigger than the entry list to some single venues! A mate of mine that i usually co drive for is competing in his nova for the first time this year, so am planning going over to watch. Should be good! There is usually a single venue event held in the Dumfries area around December time, can't remember the name of the event at the moment but it is a good one! Planning on getting a seat for that one, after I remember the name of it!
