  1. Dan, Firstly, the best thing to do is check what type of ECU you have in the car. I'm sure you know, It is located in the passenger foot well under the carpet, you will need to undo 4 of 5 10mm bolts and take off the metal foot plate. The ECU is located under this, then undo the small philips screws with the appropriate screw driver and look inside the ECU. You are looking for a piggy back board located on the face of the ecu, it will be approx 3" long and 2" wide. If you have one of those then all you need to do is get some new chips re-flashed with higher boost pressure ext. I hope this helps a bit, if you need anymore info JK is the man to speak to on the ECU. It is best to check your ECU first as it could save you a fair bit of money if you have the piggy back board! Arron.
  2. Basically the Euro imports are the same as a UK spec car ( give or take a bit ), the turbo on your car should be a TD04, unless it is an STI. I hope this helps! Arron.
  3. I have seen that some time back. Looks good, I know which model I would choose out of the 2. And it's SWEDISH all day long! Arron.
  4. As Jon said, THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU! Arron.
  5. I will be passing later this afternoon, I have to go to an engineering firm up the road from you to collect something for the rallycar. If your in I'll stop by. Arron.
  6. Dean, if you do sell her Sat night ( depending on time ), Bluewater banks are open so pay in the dosh there ( if your bank is there ) and HAPPY DAYS! Arron.
  7. Hi Mick, Jon and I have our rally car headers and downpipe lagged ( wrapped ). It is best to keep as much heat in the exhaust system as possible so the gasses flow faster, this means better spool up and hot gasses flow quicker, plus on the rally car if we need to do anything under the bonnet in the service area between stages it is nowhere near as hot and dangerous. It does help to keep the under bonnet temps down. As for a thermo heat wrap on the master cylinder or brake lines it would be a bit overkill on a road car and not really needed as you are not at maximum attack all the time, plus it is a costly mod. On the rally car we do suffer with the power steering boiling, we need to lag our PS lines to help combat this, again on a road car not necessary. It might be worth you putting some alloy reflective s/a tape around the left side of the intercooler ( above the turbo ) to reflect the heat away from the IC, I have some if you would like to borrow any. Failing that, catch up with Jon or I at some stage and we will help if we can. If you need any of the products to do those jobs, I can give you contacts on where to buy them! I pass your house every day on the way to work, so I might stop by if your cars is there and help! Hope this helps. Arron.
  8. Pele, they were 2 pot 276mm discs then! Arron.
  9. Nudge, How's the clutch, did the STI one fit ok! Arron.
  10. It does make you laugh! Saying that, watch out for a White NOVA/CORSA ( can't remember which ) it has a 2.0 16v Vauxhall lump in it around Dartford and is quick when on the move. Jon and I compete against a guy with a MK2 Escort with a Full Race Vauxhall engine pushing out around 270-280bhp with a sequencial box and we struggle to keep with him on the straights. We spoke to him at service and he had just spent 40K on the engine and box, he said it was a fully lightened and balanced race lump which he could hold at 9000+RPM all day long. Arron.
  11. I'd love to come, but I will be meeting Mickey Mouse then. Thanks anyway.
  12. Tempted. what time is it all kicking off!
  13. Thanks guys for a great turnout, and well done to all the boys at Jap Performance Parts. A big thanks to Sajid for laying on all the food. Pele to make you feel even better Jon and I did JUST OVER HALF A TANK OF FUEL TODAY in the rally car. Arron.
  14. Trevor, Jk meant to say 16mph in top for ever 1000rpm not 19mph, so at 80mph we are doing 5000rpm. If you compare that to say a UK spec car with the gearing at 25mph in top, that equates to 80mph at 3200rpm. Or in simple terms if you drive a uk car in 3rd gear that is almost like 5th in our rally car. Hope that explains it! Arron.
  15. I'm glad you both enjoyed it! Glad to help. My invoice is in the post! C u at the meet tonight. Arron.
  16. I have just spoken to Sajid at JPP regarding the Sunday meet, Sajid has confirmed that there will be some food laid on ( crisps, cakes, hot/cold drinks etc ). Also there will be a few special cars attending as well ( apart from us lot ) WRC IMPREZA S201 IMPREZA 600BHP IMPREZA AND MANY MORE. Sajid is hoping to get about 50 car or so and maybe the odd Magazine for a photo shoot. We, ( Jon and I ) have been asked to get there slightly earlier as JPP are a sponsor of our Rally Car, so I reckon we should all meet at the Wharf at 11.30 ready to leave at 11.45am. I will confirm further at the meet on Friday, so whoever is going please come and talk to JK or ME to finalise. As Pele is finding out, RA's are not suited to motorway runs so we will be sitting at 60 mph or so for the run. THAT'S BAD ENOUGH! Arron. Arron.
  17. We will be meeting at the Wharf on the Sunday, Jon and I were thinking of leaving at 12.00, although if you lot want to get some MD we can leave at 11.30 and be there for about 12.15 or so! Either Jon or I will confirm the time a few days before. Arron.
  18. Pele, I think the 2 colours is a good idea and it would mean members would still get their colour choice whether it be yellow or grey. The most important thing is we are all happy and agree on this long winded thread ( yippee ), and we all get to promote Kent Scoobies in all it coloured glory. The futures bright, the futures ???? Well done to all!
  19. Thanks Pele and well done too all that removed their posts. Thank you!
  20. Thanks Tony.
  21. JK, well done, you know it makes sense. LOl's. I hope others follow suit as you said. Wee Jock, you are not the only one who is disillusioned at the mo. Arron.
  22. This is all totally pathetic, if people have to add family members to bump up there favorite t-shirt colour, I as a founder member of KS do not want to be involved. I could easy do the same and get all my family to vote to bump up my chosen colour, BUT WHY! it's not right. It should be a simple vote and the end result WINS! not by cheating either. If this is the way things are to be played then potential sponsors of this club, who read this forum will be laughing at us and will prob take their sponsorship money elsewhere, if it continues. I don't think this will ever get sorted out even at the deadline of 10.00pm tonight. Which ever colour is the final winner will only be questioned by those who did not choose it, so I propose a truce ( a hope within chaos ). Home and Away shirts. If the Yellow wins then fine it's the Home shirt and if Grey wins then it's the away shirt or vice-versa, that way everbody will be happy to a degree! I know some of you will reply with a cost issue, but you will only have to buy your chosen colour Yellow/Grey ( or whatever are first and second ) and it could be worn to both Home and Away meets and events. IT'S ONLY A SUGGESTION THAT WILL SORT OUT ALL THE SCHOOLROOM BICKERING!
  23. I've got one for sale. £35.00. Arron.
