#1 Hey,im almost 99% of the way to getting an my03 scoob now, so close, just need the last £500 or so, and then iv got it. I went out in a neighbours today, and jesus christ its awesome, the sound was imense, and its just a fully imense experiance you can stop but tensing ur stomach just because of the noise and speed of it. I loved it 100% and its jus swayed me to getting one straight away, just wondered, has anyone got any sounds/videos of their scoobys if they have a high pitched exhaust, rather than a low rumble etc.? Iv had a look from just a picture or two, and Im sure that the bonnet scoop is bigger on the 04 vers, am i right? is there any other differences?! cheers

Yer why dont you get a cupra R? although they are all 5 door, they are still 225 bhp and a nice thing to look it.

Right honestly, from a full tank of fuel, if driven very hard, what sort of MPG are we gonna be talking about from a JDM STI v7/8? or how much is full tank of fuel and then what miles do you get to that etc. and then what about if driven above average, but not too aggressive, sort of a balance, what do u think? I know with the twin turbo supra I used to get around 8 mpg if it was driven with a heavy foot, but that was a 6 cyl 3 litre, wondering how it would compare to a 4 cyl 2 litre. Cheers

Tbh, I thought this was why imports are valued less, because they have no manuf. warranty, so therefore they are cheaper, and the trend has just followed for cars older than 3 years. This was what I was told by a fair few dealers, and it makes sense.

never had one, but iv driven one and been driven in one, and they are top cars, @ 100 bhp/litre for a NA engine, its outstanding! They sound nice too, and handling is good, but the only downfalls to the car are that it is a FWD, and also it has got naff all torque, which it some ways, its just a big excuse to rev it all the time!

Tbh, I know your all gonna slate me, but remember, I own a 4x4 aswell, i think the tax is a good idea but only if you get rid of some speed cameras and things, and the tax jus compensates for some of the money loss from cameras. Thats when it would be a good plan. Id happily pay an extra £100 per annum if i knew a shitload of cameras had gone

Honestly, you cannot help but smile when you hear that noise. You just cant, especially when you know your next car is gonna be one. I need some advice on what exhaust to get, I dont want it to sound stupidly loud all the time, just when you boot it, and recommendations?

On a version 7 WRX 5 speed, is it possible to convert it to a 6 speed? N how much would it cost, and is it worth it ?!

Intercooler water spray is a button inside the car that, when you press it, sprays water onto the intercooler via small spray jets inside the scoop on the bonnet. [] lol its worth buying one just for that

Yer I think this has swayed it for me I guess. I owned a twin turbo supra before the TT, and to tell you the truth i miss the state of how fast that car really was, and the TT just doesnt have it. The scoobys should proove very satisfying looking at the figures uv given me. I did check the FAQ but like someone said, its not updated past 2000, so I was still in the lurch. It looks like an STI is the way forward then, the minimum BHP an STI can be is 260 then right? I wont be going for an 06 vers because i just simply cant afford it, im only 18, so im stretched enough lol.
