  1. You beat me to it Higgy, making a new key from a suitably sized socket is the best way to get that style of locking bolt out. Get it a good tight fit and carefully hammer it in. The hammering should help to loosen it slightly too. Done this many a time, before you jump to any conclusions my old man runs a garage and is forever having to get these off customers cars when they loose the key or when tyre centres have over tighten them and the old key breaks trying to undo them. 2. Hi, Was sure i switched that on? It's on now though. I'd just never been to Stepps before but its pretty easy to find. Thanks anyway, see you at the next one. Kenny
  3. It's the first time i've really driven the car in heavy rain, had a good look at them today, the rubber is harder than a whore's heart! You can normally dig your finger nail into most decent performance tyres but not on these things, one thing for sure though dont think ill get a puncture in a hurry need to be a pretty determined screw to get through them! Hopefully wont have them on for much longer got some tyres orderded for the Racelines, bit of luck ill have them on at the weekend Kenny
  4. Nearly cost me more than that? Ended up seriously out of shape on my way home. Turned off the M8 to go over the Erskine bridge, the sweeping right hand bend that goes under another road? I was only doing about 40-50, car felt quite happy, no sign of understeer or a pending slide! Was almost straightened up and gently squeezed the gas, just as the laggy old tdo5 kicked in Major sideways moment hear we come! Had the diff set roughly one green forward but i think it's got more to do with a combination of me still learning the power it's got now and the rather crappy old Bridgestone Reo1 Jap tyres! Good night though besides the weather, look forward to the next one. Kenny
  5. Cheers Guys, Here's hoping i make it, managed to catch some evil bug and i'm off work sick as a dog As i mentioned earlier the car is booked with Andy.F on Friday, been waiting about 5 weeks for this and spent many a long night getting everything ready for the re-map so ill be dammed if i'm going to miss it even if it does mean stopping to hurl my guts up at the side of the road every 10 mins! Kenny
  6. Hi all, Just wondered if it would be ok for me to come along to your next meet? I've payed my SIDC subscription but still waiting to see anything come through the door, i'm assuming that i'll get some sort of pack? My car's a 95 Sti Ra which by the time of this meet should have had a Power FC fitted and mapped by Andy.F Kenny
