  1. LOL, no, it was someone else's failed project when I brought it home last year, much to my wife's horror. I've had to renew all my tools, what with all this Imprial stuff. Just ordered an engine stand, so taking the V8 out next weekend for some core plug replacement and general beautification Nice to have the Scoobies to jump in for some fun all the same
  2. Well done Hopefully by the end of summer it will look like this: (not decided on colour yet) My mate Sandy (who probably know's this Max guy) just imported a very nice Falcon..... after waiting 5 years for it
  3. I get quite a lot of comments when people pass my drive when I'm working on my latest project. The usual one is... "Is that a Mustang Mister?" Here it is: Can you guess worrit is yet? (clue is in the question)
  4. Mine is also a 2000 Classic, and I had a similar problem the other night. The car has been sitting for a couple of days after a wet drive. When I went out for a drive, it was stuttering quite a bit till it was warm. I've had this problem in various cars, and I'm pretty sure it's down to the leads. This would tie in with it working properly for a short period after you fitted new plugs, as you would have "refreshed" the dodgy connection on a lead when you removed them to change the plugs. Best way to check is open the bonnet when you feel it happening, at night in the dark, and look for sparks. Usually where the lead plugs into the coil pack. I've not replaced mine yet, too cold and skint at the moment, lol.
  5. I would have loved to have come along but unfortunately it falls on the same day as the big Crail thrash with Fast Car magazine. Our club is getting a "space" to show off our hardware. Sub 90 secs is scarey fast for Kames. If this info is correct then I salute him, and vow NEVER to go in a car with him Dave.
  6. John, I have now been to Kames twice since you originally booked this day Our new club, SS-R, is growing daily and we have had Skylines and Pulsars round the track at Kames, so if it's big enough for the Skyline the Scoobies will be perfect. We had a Barby there last Saturday and I would suggest taking more food than you actually think you'll need. It's incredible how appetites "grow" when you're thrashing your car round the countryside. (Hint): Iceland are doing two for one on burgers at the moment They also have rather tasty pork ribs in big bags. To give you all something to aim for, the best time we've had so far was 99.14 seconds over the three laps from standing start, by Dangerous Dave in a Pulsar GTiR. Best Girly time was by Helen in a Golf VR6 who got 116.76 seconds. If you can't beat that then be embarrased. Hope you all have fun. Dave.
