  1. I know...well said
  2. It's a quick fix to fool the ecu that everything it's ok......It depends how much you are paying for the quick fix as it would be better to spend the money on the remap then and only then will be 100% safe. What normally happens when you decat your car is that your o2 sensor picks up a fault(it could be lean or rich) and by fitting a resistor(self fix or quick fix)it fools the ecu that everything is ok. Hope that helps you a little.
  3. I would get it check out by Hypertec Paul as they fitted you Teins
  4. View larger picture The good thing about the Perrin one is that you could use it for inner wing in the summer and inside the engine bay in the winter when it's wet because it comes in 3 piece so that you could use it how you like it. You probably need a short piece of silicone tubing so you could mount it inside the engine bay tho.

  19. When is your big day for mapping? I know alot of people have said that a standard airbox will cope upto 330bhp but i would still get a CAI for the noise alone. I wouldn't fancy running a standard map on a standard ecu for any great lenght of time as i think it's a time bomb......better to spend the cash and gain extra power and the knowledge that your engine is in safe hands. Yeh standard newage ecu are great so that why there are loads of people using ECUTEK on the standard ecu. So St3ph3n,what are your final list to do before mapping session? 300bhp is really hard to get on a standard TD04 unless you went for a TD04H.
