About Suggs

  1. sorry to put a dampener on things, I wouldn't leave my 13 year old son ( and yes I do have one!) for 3 years for all the tea in China. It's such an important age, as Stretch has already said. I have a friend who see's his son 1 weekend every month ( his son lives in the Lake District) and he says that he feels as though he is missing out on such important parts of his life like parents evenings and hobbies ( his son competes in motor cross races) all because he isn't able to see him on a daily basis. I know that the world is a smaller place today because of good aeroplane links but I think I'd miss the small every day stuff that you take for granted when you see your kids every day....... but hey, Stretch it's your decision mate and I wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do. H
  2. Happy Birthday Ronnie, Have a great day lotsa love Harry and Sarah xxxxx
  3. sorry to hear your bad news Kip - hope there isn't too much damage. It's bad enough knowing the f***ers have been through your belongings without having to clear up after them aswell.
  4. after what's happened to Kip today and the plod's sense of urgency to go round and see, I echo the comments in my last post. Makes my blood boil
  5. thanks Mcscooby. didn't realise it could take that long. I thought the only cases heard in court nowadays were all motoring offences
  6. just playing the waiting game now - anybody know how longs it should be before we get a decision?
  7. nope, she has a clean licence at the moment - this is her first 'capture' in almost 10 years of driving. she's expecting points, either 3 or 6 but she really doesn't want a ban - that would be a right pain in the proverbial as she's got a 10 mile journey to work every day and there's no direct transport link.
  8. cheers guys - will have a look at that website tonight
  9. thanks for the reply wrx - we'll just haver to wait and see, fingers crossed!
  10. Hi all, long time no contact!! The missus got flashed by a static camera doing 55mph in a 30 mph. this was on an A road where the limit is usually 50 but for some reason when the letter came through it had it down as a 30 mph She's filled in the form and admitted that she was the driver at the time. What is the worst that she can expect - I reckon 3 points and a fine. Also, will the points ( if she gets any) affect the insurance badly? Thanks guys
  11. bought the scoob and searched the internet for some help - the rest is history.
  12. cheers mel, after looking around we've found the alarm handbook. Thankfully, the original code still applies and hasn't been changed by previous owner. Phew!!! Glad it works as we're off to Gatwick on Saturday and having nightmares about getting home and not being able to start the car. Our local Subaru dealer has said that there is a cover which goes over the alarm ECU that blocks all radio waves. It's free from Subaru, we just have to pay the fitting charge which is £21 plus VAT. It is a common problem so anybody out there who finds themselves in the same situation can take solace in the fact that there is a solution to this problem!
  13. Hi all got the pin code fron Subaru but dont know how to use it, what i mean is theres the key pad in the glove box but do i need the ignition on full, or one turn or no key in the ignition, theres a 4 digit code but on the pad theres also a hash and star key do these have to be entered first etc, tried it a couple of time and the alarm goes off on one, think maybe the codes been changed at some time. H
  14. I see your point though, Ronnie is so used to the scooby now, the other day she complained her Cooper S was too slow. Oh dear!! Ronnie in a Scoob worries me - She's quick enough in her Mini Cooper S - the streets of Grays will never be the same again
  15. Ade, Ade, Ade ( Suggs shaking his head ) You've got far too much time on your hands m8 - I can see the boredom is getting to you
