  1. Hi

Yes, another for perfomance creations direct from their site as posted by Gus or via Fleabay. Many colours of flaps (ooer missus) and choice of text e.g. STI, WRX, etc and again the colour.

I just fitted a set to my hatch - they were £66.90 delivered and it took me around an hour and a half to fit all four.

  2. Never have been a 'graphics' fan but the hawk looks sharp, especially in Blue.

Do you mind me asking why you never lowered it? I have a Hawk WRX and still wondering if I'm going to go down the route of lowering springs. If I did it would only be minimal due to the state of our British roads.

I've never bothered lowering any of the Imprezas I've had and genrally happy with them in standard set-up. I did get fast road geometry on this car and it did make a difference. If I'd kept it I might have eventually put some whiteline bushes etc on it.

  3. :crying::crying:

Well after 5 great years I said farewell to my Hawkeye STI last weekend, she was Impreza No.7 for me and has been a great car. No doubt at times I will miss her and I know the next owner is getting a cracking low mileage car. (although the WRC spoiler was swapped back to the original STI one and I understand the WRC graphics are coming off )

    Here she is or was:

A big thanks to John at S&S once again for putting together another superb deal. :icon_salut:

  4. Ditto pretty much what Gordon & Del have said. Between my good lady & myself we've had 7 cars from them over recent years and cannot fault the deals agreed or indeed the ongoing customer service.

Travelling down for the annual service is like visiting good friends or relatives - taking your car for a service can be dangerous as in the course of the visit you can end up agreeing a car change!!

The silver 04 plate blob STI is one of my ex-cars which I bought new and kept for around 18 months - saw it in there last year around this time and it still looked in good condition. Looks like someone traded it back in after a short period and after changing to the black wheels. :barf:

Sorry but not a fan of black wheels - GOLD, GOLD, GOLD :getmecoat:

    Cheers

  5. Have to agree, clay bars are excellent - as said just use plenty of lube and turn/knead the clay when using and should be no issues with scratching.

The 'Mequiars Starter Kit' is usually a good buy - check amazon or Halfrauds for offers.

  6. For a contrast, here are some pics of the Plasma Blue STI Saloon that S&S (Ayr) have available for viewing:

Still no rear spoiler though but trying to find out what the options & costs are for info.

As per comments in the other "New STI Saloon" thread, I'm not convinced - need to see one in the metal (yes, the pics were sent to me on request)

  7. Hi

Pity it wasn't needing a rear bumper - I have a pre face lift one here in 406 silver complete with the brackets. Only looking for the £25 I paid BigChap for it as well!

I got it for my sons car not realising that there was a difference between pre-face lift & facelift rear bumpers as wll as the front of the car - doh!

Bigchap might still have some of the parts you need left over as he broke the full car - think he has a list of what's left in the for sale section.

  8. I fitted the full rally graphics to my Hawkeye STi when I got it just under 2 years ago. I wasn't sure if I would like them once fitted or how long I would keep them on but......

...they are still on the car.

I sourced the kit via fleabay and fitted them myself over a weekend - worked for me!!

I appreciate that graphics are not to everyone's taste but it's your choice - as said you can take them off easily enough.

  9. Cheers Ed - not so sure about this hole spine compression theory and like you say there is still uncertainty.

This install is quite neat but again relies on anchor points too low down ( ??)

I think in all honesty I may just go with the CG lock because when I have been in a Caterham before the harness rode up when I hauled hard on the shoulder straps

In the above link, these are the belts & how they are fitted in my STI. When looking at getting harnesses, I exchanged comms with Sabelt about where to mount them, safety in road car, etc and before I bought them I checked with my insurer & they had no issues but reminded me they would not cover me if I was going to use the car on track, speed trials, etc. Today, I have been phoning around for renewal quotes & no-one has had any problems when I advised them about having the harnesses fitted. If they were illegal in road cars then surely the insurance companies would not cover you?

  10. Craig - they're based in Hillington so not too far for you to go for a look.

Unfortunately not, the auctioneers webpage says viewings & collections from Aberdeenshire

Location : Viewings and collections at: Indy Car Sales Ltd, Main Street, Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire, AB51 8UD

Viewing : Please note that there will be on site viewings shorlty before the auction closes (dates to be confirmed)

Hillington would have been better / more convenient for us Central Belt dudes.
