  1. I'll need to have a proper look at them as I've never been that close to notice !!

    I'll keep you posted.

ScottP did agree with me about the rattling and when he took me out in his scooby it was exactly the same as my car.

One way to sort it would be to wrap the tops and bottoms of the springs to stop them rattling on the mounts.

  2. Just wanted to say hello to those I met today at KH.

Mainly just Scott and Rosemary but I'll catch up with some of you again at the meet on the 17th.

Was a great day for it even with the rain in the morning.

  4. I'll be travelling from Craigentinny in Edinburgh.

I can meet you at McD's in Sth Queensferry if you want to take a duel from there ? I'll be there at 8:30am ish but I'll be with my wife and son of 18 weeks so I won't really be able to rally it on the B road after the mway.

  5. When I was at AWD I got them to fir a centre pipe aswell so it was s/steel from the turbo back, also opted for the green panel filter as they had them in stock. Seems like a good choice as they get the best bhp increase right ups over other replacement filters.

CEL is working fine, they fitted it though so if there was any problems I'd take it straight back.

    What's wrong with yours ?

  6. I'm hoping to come along on Sunday to meet you all however I've got one problem.

Does anyone know if there will be a shop/canteen/snack van or similar open ?? Reason I ask is that I'll be with the wife and new born son (18 weeks) and will need some hot water to heat up a bottle of milk for the wee man.

Please say there will be or I'll not be able to come along. face-icon-small-frown.gif

  7. I've just moved from a Civic Type R to an 04 WRX.

Running costs are something that you shouldn't have to ask about. You Civic is like running a 1litre mini compared to a scooby. Petrol consumption is shocking to say the least, servicing is about £300 a time and if your any taller than 5'10", the back sat passengers will have cramp in there legs as the front leg room isn't that great. Insurance for me (28, Edinburgh post code, kept in driveway, cat1 is £680 (no tracker required). Try Admiral or Elephant. Euro imports are really down to personal choice. You get a great deal at the time but depreciation is pretty bad and main dealers will offer you next to nothing on a trade in.

Having said that, you forget all of this as soon as you put your foot on the loud pedal face-icon-small-shocked.gif Well worth the money in my opinion !!

  8. Just wondering when the next SIDC event at Knockhill was going down.

I'm not looking to go on track at the moment as I've not got many miles under my belt in my Scooby but wanted to come along and meet up with some of you to put faces to names.face-icon-small-blush.gif

Does anyone know if spectators have to pay too ??

  9. Hello all,

just a quick message to say hi to everyone. Owned my Scooby for about 2 months now. see signature for spec. Used to own an 03 civic type r before the scoob. loved it but after having my first child (Lewis, 17 weeks old today) we needed something with 4 doors. What an excuse to get a scooby I thought, the wife didn't seem to mind either !!

See you all somewhere soon, James.

  10. Nice one Cal, getting my decat pipe fitted at AWD tomorrow. Joined SIDC now too so I should get my discount no worries. Have you fitted another filter to your car or are you still running the standard one. Was thinking about a replacement panel filter but am not sure which one to go for. Any suggestions ???
