Well i awoke yesterday morning at dark oclock ready for my 4 hour drive from Tokyo to Sendai and Sugo Raceway. I was invited by the driver Genki Nishamura of the ZELS Mitsubishi race team as his guest to watch the race...........with no hesitation i agreed!!
It was the second to last race in their series (last one being on the 13th at Motegi), there were 4 classes of cars racing (ST1, ST2, ST3, ST4).
ST1 were the big boys - BMW Z4, GT3's and a couple of Nismo 350's.
ST2 were STI's, EVO's, 350's, RX7
ST3 were EVO's, 350's, BMW's, NSX, RX7
ST4 were mainly FF hondas
In all there were about 30 cars racing, 2 drivers per car so there is a mandatory stop to change drivers.
